This is an E I G H T Page FF News Brief Bulletin so the footprints team suggests that you be nice and relaxed when viewing this bulletin. This is an Exclusive Interview with South Africa’s golden president and Nobel Peace Prize winner Mr. Omar Abdulla. Mr. Omar Abdulla is president of South Africa since 2023 and his serving his second year in office after serving on the 447 member South African government as Minister of Finance. Mr. Omar Abdulla is President of South Africa based on his overwhelming support from the South African community clinching 81 percent of the more than 50 million voters in South Africa. Mr. Omar Abdulla is known as “The Playboy President” earning this title after dating some of the most gorgeous women in the world. Mr. Omar Abdulla is known as the World’s Greatest President according to voters on Today’s Times Magazine.

South Africa the country occupies S P A C E that of France, Spain, England and Northern Asia. South Africa is rated the fifth most popular country in the world after the United States, India, China and Brazil. South Africa is known as “The Honeymoon Haven” hosting tourists who choose to escape once they get married. South Africa is rated as one of the most beautiful countries in the world according to voting polls on FF News.

South Africa-The country occupies the Southern Tip of Africa and is bounded by South West Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Swaziland and by the Atlantic and Indian Oceans- West and East. South Africa entirely surrounds Lesotho and partially surrounds the F O U R black states of Transkei, Bophuthatswana, Venda and Ciskei. (Before their independence)

The Country’s history stretches 250 000 years where President of South Africa Paul Kruger and The Great trek had their tug of war on land and commercial properties. The country has long been plagued by foreigners who choose to escape from their daily chores and choose to relax in South Africa’s warm climate. The Country has long been raising eyebrows in local communities regarding forced links between Footprints allies and ANC Nationalists. The Country is rated as a country of national pride, accelerated growth, ever-growing technology and increasing national interest.

As the year is 2025 many local communities are creating havoc as many people choose to have their say about the country as a whole. A local listener on SABC Radio Richie Valens said that South Africa should look at growth internally rather than externally. South Africa which has the first teleport service which allows listeners from anywhere in the world to show their interest in the country can dial 911 and can speak to President of South Africa or whoever’s name they type in the database immediately, via voice prompts.

Valens asked Abdulla what he thought about the current Economic Stimulus Plan, currently stating that the South African economy was overleveraged and that financing from other countries should be opted out.

Abdulla responded to Valens statement by saying that South Africa was in a trade surplus due to the leveraging policy whereby government Reserve Banks lends money to other Reserve Banks at no interest charge. Abdulla added by saying that lending the money to other countries was a policy that created “Friendly Ties” amongst nations, both locally and internationally.

When Valens asked Abdulla what this meant he said that the community of South Africa was in “Friendly Ties” with second and third world countries to force barter deals and trade deals.

While on channel 911 another caller Sakeena Joosub asked Abdulla what he thought would be the longer term growth of South Africa including growth in terms of improvement of facilities for correctional services, improvement of facilities in the Laudium community, improvement of facilities in the greater Gauteng area and improvement of facilities in the medical centers.
Abdulla responded to Joosub’s remarks stating that the current Economic community was in tatters due to the neglect from the current South African Reserve Bank.

“South Africa has become a country like Japan. We cannot print more money because the country does not need money; the country needs support from our neighbors to sell our assets. The asset value of South Africa is valued at R700 trillion rand, yet if she shed 10 percent of our asset value we would generate double the income from our country’s partners. “Abdulla responded.

Abdulla has long been admired by both South African government nationalists and international allies. He has served on the United Nations Board as Executive Director and served his five years required to study at the footprints university. As South African’s once the student has passed their 12 grade examination, it is compulsory for them to study at any of the 9600 footprints universities in South Africa.
Although Mr. Omar Abdulla is serving his second year in office as President of South Africa, he is challenged by a group of Muslim Businessmen aiming at sabotaging his term in office and his businesses. At a failed assassination attempt on Inauguration day October 25 2023 Abdulla escaped unharmed and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he lived with Allah’s Grace.

Whilst in office he is constantly challenged by Bantu and Shona rebels aiming at forcing him to make decisions that he would normally never approve off.

At a recent rally in Church Street thousands of protestors took to the streets to the offices of the presidency claiming that Members of Parliament were “Eating more than Sharing.” What this term meant in South African Parliament was that the law was not playing its tune to country citizens. According to South African Law citizens who do not earn an income for three years will be banished to neighboring Madagascar.

President of South Africa Omar Abdulla said that the “Eating more than Sharing” was a law just newly introduced that aimed at keeping South Africans “At Home, and At Peace.” According to the “Eating more than Sharing” law South Africans would need to live with a minimum of four people per household. Newly-wed couples, homeless people, nomads, and orphans will be taken in what is called the “The House of Cards.”
“The House of Cards” is the first of its kind ever created in South Africa and is financed by The Old Mutual Group of Companies, South African Airways, Pick and Pay and Footprints Filmworks. “The House of Cards” is a development organization that aims at creating leadership for inspiring Managing Directors, Business personnel, previously disadvantaged South African’s and people who choose to learn from the grapevine. For those persons who pose no income they can join the “The House of Cards” which is a weekly payout of R5000.00 per week to the individual seeking a job. The department that the employee works for instructs the employee the chores that he or she should adhere to.

Current Managing Director of “The House of Cards” Zakkiyyah Adamjee said that throughout South Africa the “The House of Cards” was working well with South African citizens. We have more than 50 000 people who have joined us in the last year and it’s improving day by day.
“The House of Cards” is in no competition with a similar concept of the footprints university Adamjee added. The footprints university is a free five year university to all South Africans, whilst “The House of Cards” employs those graduates who choose to enhance their skills further. Adamjee continued by saying that the R50 billion rand initiative was co-sponsored by the government through tax incentives and interest bearing accounts.

The South African community which has 10 million homes with 80 percent of them leveraged through any of the big F O U R banks has been experiencing down faults due to local council municipalities not keeping up to their deal.

The country employs more than 35 million people in sectors of financing, services, manufacturing and developing, technology synopsis, mining and agriculture, youth education and training, military programs, and many other sectors encapsulating a net growth of 25 percent on GDP per annum.

The seven hundred and eighty six sectors of the job sector of South Africa is led by Minister of Interrelationships Jacob Pheledi who has held this title since 2020. Pheledi(58) said that the Job sector of South Africa was in “Safe Hands” and that job hunting among South Africans was easy as the amount of employment agencies had increased by 12 percent since 2020.

--Footprints Filmworks Champion Cars Advert--

“To find a job that pays well is easy to find in South Africa. The problem lies with employees who choose to change their jobs every five years. This makes it difficult for the South African Interrelation community as jobs are quickly shuffled around to improve service delivery and efficiency.” Pheledi said.

The Exclusive Interview held with me and President of South Africa Omar Abdulla was to be held at the Union Building’s on November 11 2025. I was told to meet him at 8:00 am at the Union Buildings National Gardens. My name is Jessica Knowles and this is my story with meeting with one of the most admired leaders of our time.

When I met with Abdulla at 8:00 am, one of his wives accompanied him for a morning jog and breakfast at the Tuscan Union Buildings. Initially, Abdulla laughed at the questions I posed to him, telling me that I should put my pen and paper away, and that I should join them on their daily morning jog. I was a bit surprised a President who led an economy of R700 trillion rand could be so funky and accommodating.
Abdulla answered a question I posed to him earlier about the South African Crime rate, stating that crime had become something of the past for South Africans. Abdulla said that the South African crime rate had dropped by more than 60 percent in the last ten years, due to the improvement of facilities for policemen and the correct method of “Household Hands”

“Household Hands” was a campaign invented by Minister of Safety and Defense Yusuf Smith that aimed at keeping criminals on guard. The “Household Hands” was an initiative that joined murderers, killers, money launderers and policemen to fight crime. According to the eight grade of criminals that prowl South African streets and prisons all grades from 3-8 were to be killed execution style or hanged. This law adapted from the Arabian community is similar to the death penalty; the only difference is that criminals are graded upon the crimes they commit. All 0-2 grade crimes and criminals were to be set free from prison and free to go home, to start fresh.

Abdulla said that the “Household Hands” law took some time for government officials to pass, but in the long run it has paid off. In 2010 every three minutes two crimes had been committed in South Africa, today we have an average of 15 crimes per day, which is a major drop from 2010.

Although, Abdulla, myself and his wife had been jogging for 30 min, we stopped for 10 min to have a glass of water, whereby he said, Jessica what I’m about to tell you might change your life.
And I said, what is it that you have to tell me that can change my life, Mr. President.
I remember he came close to me and said, I was never this close to my dreams and goals. There was a stage in my life where my family, personal friends, The South African government and even my own Ministers sabotaged and protested against me.

When I asked Abdulla what this meant he said that when he became President of South Africa in 2023, a group of angry protesters took 500 000 copies of his bestselling memoir “My father, the president” and burnt it in Soweto, Secunda, Laudium and Lenasia. This motivated me that the world and the people who occupy the space they live in, don’t keep up to their words.

The Presidential Box—December 2025—www.footprintsfilmworks.com
Page 5

--Footprints Filmworks—The Presidential Box—December 2025—FF News—
Abdulla added by saying that the community of South Africa does not appreciate the work that he and his 447 member Parliament does.

“Our government and people have become selfish when it comes to our country. What happened to the days where we had patriots and strong hearted men who walked our streets? When Madiba died in 2010, the country found itself anew in terms of globalization and commitment to our citizens” Abdulla said.
Although Abdulla has been President of South Africa for only two years, his greatest success was achieving the treasured goal of listing his blueprint company Footprints Filmworks on all major stock exchanges in the world. As a local tabloid paper read:

“A millionaire at 21, A billionaire at 30, A Superstar Celebrity, at 35, A President of a country, at 40”

After the morning jog, Abdulla asked to have lunch at the Union Building’s Hotel. He told me that he was going to buy a few Cuban Cigars and continue discussions on the South African community and its leaders.
At the Hotel Café at around 11: 25am a flying helicopter F-18 comes to pick us up as Mr. Abdulla has a meeting in Cape Town with the Minister of Transport and Aviation Mandy White. I was asked to join him for the day as I am busy producing a documentary on his life. His wives who are sisters were asked to join him on the trip.

--Todays Times Advert0--

I was surprised that Mr. Abdulla had two wives who lived and travelled with him.
When we arrived in the country’s Capital, Western Cape, I was greeted by Mandy White who said that all harbors, flights, tube train stations and air tubes in the country had been stalled as the power shortage from generators were too busy. According to White the country’s power generators had caused the power shortage. South Africa which is one of the highest producers of natural power was currently experiencing “Sunbeam Radiation and Radioactivity.”

“Sunbeam Radiation and Radioactivity” was a natural element in the sky that caused all power to cut off. According to the myth this technology was invented by “The Illumanti”. The “Sunbeam Radiation and Radioactivity” technology was eco-friendly and causes the earth to require Maximum Potential. What this meant is that when the Sun, Earth, Moon and Jupiter were parallel to each other, “Sunbeam Radiation and Radioactivity” takes over. According to “The illumanti” when all these elements are parallel to each other, all ozone cleansing takes place. This meant that although the country might be out of power for a day, all skin diseases and natural diseases including Cancers, HIV Positive patients, mentally instable people, and ordinary patients would be cured.

This was a legend that I read about in South African history and perhaps today was the day that I would find out what is: “Sunbeam Radiation and Radioactivity”

The Presidential Box—December 2025—www.footprintsfilmworks.com

Page 6

“Jessica, I need to make an urgent call” Abdulla called out.
I was a bit surprised Mr. President of South Africa wanted to make a call at this time when the city was out of power. After about half an hour, he returned and said:
“Sorry, I cannot use my mobile; I had to place a bet.”
“A bet, about what?” I asked.

“If I’m right I can double the Country’s reserve in this day.” Abdulla said.
I did not know what this meant, or what sought of code this was, but I could see that the power shortage in the country had caused him to become frail and bleak.

I am a journalist for a local newspaper, and at this time I felt like calling my boss and telling him that I was stuck with the President of South Africa for the entire day. I was so excited to get to know the Man behind the mask of the media.

--Footprints in South Africa Advert--

It was already 2: pm and still the power in the country was off, and I could see that Abdulla was nervous about something. His twin wives had gotten lost in the Minister of Transport offices Goggling reasons why and when the power could come back on. I remember, Abdulla called out my name and said:
Jessica, you wanted that interview, come and chat to me.

I had a whole list of questions prepared but it seemed that all my questions and notes meant nothing because today I could actually speak to him, and get to know what picks on the mind of the most powerful man in the world.

I told Abdulla that I did not have any notebooks to take down notes, but that I had the questions in my mind. I asked him, what motivated him to be the President of one of the Wealthiest countries in the world.
At first, he laughed and smiled and said that he was constantly challenged by his mentors and old pioneers to follow in their footprints. I remember, he came close to me and said:
“I have been around long enough to be fooled, but I always get fooled by good hearts.”
What this meant I did not understand, but I could see the honesty in his face and personality. He seemed relaxed that the entire South African community was in his hands, and all that he could do was remember the days when he schooled in Laudium.

“I am a community leader at heart, perhaps I was lucky with what God has blessed me, Perhaps I have been cursed, but what I do know, is that my dreams always become a reality.” Abdulla Says.
At this time an international call came in on my mobile, and a strange voice asked for Omar.
“May I speak to your superior” the strange voice asked.
I immediately handed the mobile device to Omar, who said that he would like some privacy and chat to the man in the strange voice.

Abdulla returned my mobile device and said that the power in the country will be back in 30 min, and that if he was correct the stock markets would rocket on the news about the power generators back in progress and that medical pharmaceutical company shares will drop as soon as the power comes back on.
When I asked him why the pharmaceutical company shares will drop on the news of the power, Abdulla said that “Sunbeam Radiation and Radioactivity” took place on January 25 2012 and within minutes small investors on the JSE, CAC, FTSE and FFF became overnight billionaires.

I remember on that day, I short 1 billion future contracts on Pfizer shares and I made 10 billion dollars of my own money. According to Abdulla the legend of “The Illumanti” having inside ties with when and why markets react in the way that they do.

I did not understand this mumbo jumbo share talk, so I said, Mr. President, we have 30 min more before the power comes back, can we perhaps continue with the interview as planned.
I asked Abdulla what his opinion was on the current Peace Treaty being signed between the eight nations General Assembly.

Abdulla answered my question by saying that the medical and technology investment community of the global economy were experiencing major overflow and that the medical and technology fields were the shares that increased in value the most since 2008. Abdulla added by saying that precious metals and raw materials had dropped by almost seventy percent in value since 2008. Abdulla continued by saying that the Peace Treaty was being signed by South Africa, United States, France, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, Cuba, China, and U.S.S.R . Abdulla said that the treaty agreement would aim at fixing Forex currencies, Precious Metals, Blue-chip companies and repo rates pricing to squeeze inflation.

Abdulla said the investment community in countries was slowly improving as investors were starting to deepen their investment portfolio and risk appetite to outrun bank returns. According to Abdulla the local stock exchanges in the world had four times increased in value, over the five year period. He elaborated the importance of Bankers and Financiers to beware of getting stopped out off market trends.
This was friendly advice for me, as I always watch Abdulla on CNBC talking about market trends. I remember on 29 December 2024, how markets went bullish on a Monetary Policy meeting.

--Footprints Filmworks—The Presidential Box—December 2025—FF News--
When we arrived on the F-18 back at the Union Buildings, Abdulla said that he would like some time with his family and that I should take a walk and views the 1105 Hectare Union Buildings. He said that he would like to use my mobile as he had to make a call to the man in the strange voice.
Abdulla(40) who has currently four children is reported to have been said that he plans to have as many children as possible. In a recent report in New York Times, he was quoted as saying that the next ten years will bring another four children to our footprints team.
“Thank you, for your time Jessica” he said.

He handed me a shoebox and said that I should send him a proof of the advert in 50 newspapers before I print it. I was a bit surprised that a President advertisers in newspapers.
Before, I left his home, I turned back and said:
Mr. President, I believe that you are a Ferrari Fan and I have heard rumors about you purchasing Ferrari Cars in the past decade or so.

--Footprints Filmworks Travel Tours Advert--

“I have always had dreams in my life Jessica. When I was 25, I had a picture of a Ferrari in my room, and perhaps I collect Ferrari’s these days, to remember my childhood dreams and passions.”
May I see your Ferrari Cars I asked him?
He said that it was a long walk to the Buildings Garage, but if she opened the shoebox, she would make the walk easier for both of them.

So, I opened the shoebox, and guess what???

A One million rand note and the keys to a new Ferrari F430 Scuderia

This is a F O U R Page FF News Brief Bulletin so the footprints team suggests that you be nice and relaxed when viewing this bulletin. This is an Exclusive Interview with dictator President who lead Cuba for 50 years Mr. Fidel Ruz Catro.

Mr. Fidel Castro has been President of Cuba since 1959 and retired in 2006 due to a severe illness that lead to reports that he died. Mr. Fidel Castro has been known as one of the Worlds Greatest Leaders according to Voters on Today's Times Magazine. Mr. Fidel Castro is leader of the communist lead country Cuba and lead the Cuban Communist Party for more than 30 years. Mr. Fidel Castro has lead Cuba with Staunch belief systems about the country including free education, free health care, free public transportation and free advertising in all major newspapers in Cuba.

XXX President Fidel Ruz Castro XXX

Cuba in reality in an island just off the coast of Mexico and occupies S P A C E off one quarter that of South Africa with a population of 15 million Cubans. Cuba has a mixed culture of Spanish, Brazilians, Mexicans and Americans. Cuba is known as "The Honeymoon Haven" hosting tourists who choose to escape for a little while once they get married. Cuba is a Caribbean island with strong investments into Sugar cane plantations, development of fighter jets , media communications and tourism.

When the footprints team arrived in Cuba in July 2009 scheduled to inteview Mr. Fidel Castro, his brother Raul stopped the footprints team and said that Mr. Fidel Castro is too ill to accept any interviews. However, when the footprints team met with Castro at Havana Radio Offices in Cuba, he seemed frail and bleak and asked Abdulla to bring "Le Peso Montier" with.

"Le Peso Montier" was a history book that contained all the information about world leaders that Cuba has, including past, present, future and beyond. Among the names in this so- called"Le Peso Montier" was Batista, General Ruz Castro, Pedro De Niz, Sussanah De Silva, Omar Abdulla, Sakeena Joosub, Raul Castro and Liama Kells.

When the footprints team researched these so-called Cuban leaders, we discovered that the major community centre's in Cuba including Haina, Havana, San Tiago and San Mariana were experiencing waste dumping and electricity cuts in the community due to the neglect from the current Raul Castro government.

When Managing Director for Footprints Filmworks Omar Abdulla met with the bearded Castro at Havana Radio Offices in Cuba, Castro said that the interview should be quick and spotty and discuss issues not only of Cuban Culture, but of American Culture.

When the footprints team spoke to the 81 year old Castro he coughed and sneezed and constantly asked for his medical prescriptions. Castro who said that his 50 years investment into Cuba paid off because the community at large realized his efforts of growth aimed at the right people in government and everyday citizens.

A local listener on Havana Radio, Nicholas West, asked Castro what his involvement is in the Cuban government currently stating that Cubans have lost interest in the current Raul Castro government and stating that the current government will probably be overthrown by U. S or U.S.S.R allies.

Castro responded to the callers remarks by saying that the current Cuban government is lead well, amiss, the constant hurricanes and floods.

"We can control our thoughts, we can control our energies, we can control our power, but we cannot control the call of mother nature." Castro said.

XXX Cuba XXX

After taking a few more calls on Radio Havana, a few business advertisements including Pepsi, Coke, FF News and Ferrari rocked Radio Havana.

Off air, Castro told Abdulla that he did not like the limelight and that we should visit him at home once we done with the interview. Castro who told Abdulla that his speech notes, key note addresses, post cards from American Presidents and other Cuban reading material was available at his home in Havana.

After the advertisements on Radio Havana, Abdulla questioned Castro about the history of Cuban lead government and the challenges that future presidents face.

"I knew Barack Obama would be the first African American to uphold the American Flag. The day I saw him on CNBC chanting American dreams to the greater American people convinced me that he would be the future president. It is unfortunate that Barack Obama has forgotten what the American dream is all about. Obama has gotten too involved in the glitter and glamour affairs of the presidency, that he has forgotten what the American Dream is all about" Castro added.

After the radio interview with Abdulla on Radio Havana, Castro told Abdulla to meet him at home in two hours as he was going to buy a few Cuban Cigars and continue discussions on the current Cuban government and its history.

When the footprints team met with Castro at his Havana Home in Havana, Castro showed the footprints team a list of community projects that he was involved in including, Newspaper Clippings, Trophies of Achievements, Presidential Minutes and Recent email certificates. Castro who said that the current Cuban government was in "Safe Hands" of his brother Raul.

Castro continues by saying that the Cuban government lead by himself was lead with a profile of keeping to key policies in the government and keeping to key profiles of government members.

"When your key community people do not support you, you have a problem. When I overthrew Batista at the Battle of the Barracks in 1976, Cubans learnt, that my policies and profiles always pan out."

Although Castro spent several years in Exile in Mexico, he says that the step away from Cuba, broadened his landscape of vision and creation.

"When I stepped away from Cuba, I got to realize how many changes can take place for the better of our country, for the better of our people, for the better of our foes and for the better of our international leaders." Castro said.

Whilst I was offered a cup of traditional Cuban Coffee at Mr. Fidel Castro's home, he continued our conversation by saying that the current Cuban government is well organized and lead, amid, the constant bullying from the United States regarding forced links of exports from the United States to Cuba.

"Cuba has remained an underdog in the world economy and support from other countries is always welcome. A few years back, the Cuban government lead a stokveld initiative aimed at growing the country beyond our borders." Castro added.

Castro added by saying that the stokveld initiative was an initiative that aimed at bringing Super Power countries together and creating leaders amongst worldwide governments. According to Castro the stokveld initiative was a campaign lead by President George Bush and sixteen other nations that included a yearly deposit of 100 million dollars in a Swiss Banking account used for the empowerment and growth of the countries of first, second, third and fourth world countries.

The stokveld initiative which was a yearly payout of 1.5 billion dollars to the country that was chosen in the magic hat of governments. Once a year, this balloon stokveld amount would be awarded to the country that required the most assistance and leadership.

Castro elaborated the importance of current governments around the world including France, South Africa, Britain and Australia to aid poorer countries in terms of education, military financing, development of transportation and health services.

When asked by Abdulla who Castro admires and "looks up to" he comments by saying that people around the world and people who live in villages and societies should "look up to" their own local community leaders for empowerment and growth.

"When I visited South Africa in 1984, the current government was lead well, and impressed me. P W Botha and his team lead a combined effort of keeping the country in bay. In my opinion the South African apartheid government was far more superior and organized as compared to the current South African government" Castro adds.

Castro concluded our meeting by saying that when he met the footprints team earlier in the day he was not interested in sharing his ideas about the future governments because he felt that current governments lead by Politian's was not in his hands.

"We as older or senior leaders have had our hay day, and our share of the piece of the pie. Now it's time for leaders including, Barack Obama, Hosni Mubarak, Omar Abdulla and Nicholas Sarkozy to lead from the front" Castro concluded.

There comes a time in the evolution of MAN where he has to make Decisions, some of them good and some of them not so good. Decisions, Deadlines, Dreams and Desires WILL ALWAYS be a motivating factor in ones life.

As the icy month of July is our Footprints Filmworks "Most Well Dressed Male CHAMP" this is a story that tells of a gentleman who walks slowly and breathes heavily. This is a story of a gentleman who has courage, ambition, admiration and leadership for his community and his people. This is a story of a gentleman who lead South African business to beyond South African borders.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

The community of South Africa occupies SPACE that of France, Spain, Australia and the Southern America's. As South African leadership is spreading to other countries many business entrepreneurs are spreading their wings with new investments into Social Welfare, Business Seminars, Penny Share Trading and Economic Exchange Skills.

Mr. Sayed Mia and his team Mr. Sayed Mia Trade Route Mall

As previous C H A M P S on footprints we have always stuck to our belief systems about life, our parents wishes for us, our inspiring dreams and our unwanted bad thoughts.

When the footprints team heard about the "Shop till you drop" competition held at Trade Route Mall we were excited by the helicopters with banner signs reading, "Shop till you drop" According to the advertisement Trade Route Mall was offering a two hour shopping experience valued at R100.000.00 per person. According to the advertisement only 1000 people were allowed to be in Mall when this shopping competition was going to take place. According to the advertisement Male Men aged between 18-81 could take part. According to the advertisement this advertisement would only be valid for that specific day.

Current Mr. South Africa and Managing Director for Footprints Filmworks Omar Abdulla cheered the community leaders to wait until 8:am when the stores open. Although crowds waited who would be elected from the magic hat the anticipation came when Trade Route Mall chairperson came.

Mr. Omar Abdulla CHAMPION BOX Miss. Sakeena Joosub

In the magic hat community leaders of Lenasia, Laudium, Roshnee, Verlum, Overport, Rylands, Bokaap and Dundee were selected. Although the magic hat had over 50 000 names ONLY 1000 people were allowed to take part. According to the advertisement community leaders would receive a coupon that would allow them to spend two hours in the Mall and spend R100.000.00.
When gates opened at 8:am crowds rushed to chairperson Sayed Mia who said that this community initiative was aimed at community growth and leadership.

"We as Trade Route Mall should inspire our local community leaders about the future of tomorrow."
Although this competition was only allowed to Male Men the spouses of the husbands elected wanted to join in the fun experience. The Mall then decided to allow females to join the men in their shopping experience but were not allowed to buy anything.
Hosting 447 stores from Pick and Pay, Clicks, FF News and Edgars shoppers were asked to spend quickly and budget properly. During the first hour of the two hour time limit I bought a few suites for myself, caught up on the latest media, got to see my high school sweetheart and managed to get the sexy jeans that I always wanted.
driver download, car rental, YouYube

Whilst I was busy shopping I noticed Store Manager Sayed Mia having a meal at Ocean Basket. I felt inspired to get to know the Man who put up a 500 million rand Mall, and yet can sit so comfortably with a smile. I felt inspired to ask him what motivated him to build a Mall so big and so quickly. I felt inspired to get to know a Man who had worked so hard and actually get to know his thoughts. I felt inspired to get to know Mr. Mia because of how popular he is in the community.

--Mr. Footprints Omar Abdulla Advert--

"I had a vision, I worked hard, I planned and I acted." Mia Says. Mia added by saying that the community of South Africa should look to build their own Malls in their own communities.

"If every South African community were to build their own Malls this would create a spending power in the South African community. The spending power of South Africans is limited to time, space, matter and energy. The average age group of a shopper is between 18-81 and yet the market demands greater outlook. The day each community of the vast 9600 communities of South Africa build their own Malls, that would be the day that I can say I have lived up to my word as a teacher from back in the day." Mia elaborates.

As Mr. Mia has been elected exclusively as our Footprints Filmworks Most Well Dressed Male C H A M P I f e l t inspired to spend my remaining one hour to chat to him and learn something new.

Trade Route Mall Pick and Pay Edgars

"Visionaries are those people who see beyond their own boundaries. A Visionary is a person who has insight about the future and uses his imagination to build whatever he desires. One needs to first act before thinking when it comes to business in Today's Times. Acting before thinking sometimes creates a surprise to consumers who are left off guard. When it comes to business one needs to always be e i g h t steps above the market to ensure true leadership. Leaders of today are too involved in their own personal dreams than dreams of our community and country." Mia continues.

When asked what inspired him to be so heavily involved in the community of Lenasia he says that the community always longs for a leader who can withstand the tides of tomorrow. As Leaders, As Community folk, As Parents and as Financiers we should always strive to be better, to achieve higher, to aim to greater heights and to be the best at our fields.

"I read, I read, I read. I read" that is my secret to my success Mia says.

When asked what type of wardrobe and fashion wear he likes he mentions name brands including POLO, LEVIS, ARMANI and PRINGLE.

Pringle Armani Polo Levis

In conclusion we as the footprints team would like to thank Mr. Sayed Mia for his time, his effort, his knowledge and his financing.

Re:FF News: The Presidential Box--December 2025 4 Months ago Karma: 0
This is the fortieth anniversary of Woodstock and, with it, the romantic remembrances of days past. One program after another has described the musical encounters, the unfettered expression, even the mud and grime as the beginning of a “new age.” Woodstock has taken on the mantle of a generational theme. And millions claim to have been among the estimated crowd of 400,000.

Ang Lee has taken advantage of this nostalgic journey with his film “Taking Woodstock,” albeit there isn’t any attempt to describe the music at this event. That’s probably just as well since most youthful adherents weren’t listening to the music and many of those who did were too high to know what they were experiencing.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

I have another view of Woodstock. A self –indulgent generation weaned on the slogan better living through chemistry sought to display unfettered expression on a cow pasture in New York State. All the romanticized hogwash cannot rationalize youngsters hooked on drugs, sex and rock and roll. Most were simply riding the Eden express to a place called oblivion. They weren’t committed to “new ideas,” as if there are any, nor were they revolutionaries; they simply wanted to have fun.

To superordinate this youthful venture in rebellion to some kind of religious awakening is absurd on any level, including the debased level of the revelers. Yet remarkably as the years pass and the baby boomer generation wears its graying pony tails to Grateful Dead concerts, Woodstock has taken on a quasi-religious designation. For many a roll in the hay is recalled as a roll in the mud, a moment when you can let it all hang out because anything goes was the modus operandi.

--FF News Advert--

This was undisguised bacchanalia, nothing more or less. Why convert it into the Great Awakening of the Sixties? If anything, it was designed to shock an already shockproof America. It was giving the finger to bourgeois society by the children of the bourgeoisie. These weren’t poor kids trapped in the inner city of marginal schools and insufficient jobs. These were the progeny of privilege acting out in a town far from home with kindred souls who found the liberating effects of drugs.

Drugs, after all, were the lubricant for anti-social expression. They reduced the barriers established by the super-ego. They said in effect, “if it feels good, do it.” For some, the drugs offered freedom; for others, it gave a jolting kick in the rear as overdoses and vomiting were a reminder reality hadn’t evanesced. Brain cells were damaged by drug addled youths who didn’t know when to stop or who thought they could defy gravity on LSD.

--Mr. President of South Africa Omar Abdulla--

Sure, one can look back and say it was a remarkable event, a gathering unlike others. And there is some truth to this claim. But this is a marginal truth, the footnote to a real story. The existential truth is that a lot of youngsters eager to overcome restrictions demanded by social norms found an outlet at Woodstock. These weren’t revolutionaries, although they claimed that title. They were merely rationalizing behavior their parents reproved.

Before Woodstock is given a chapter heading in American history, it behooves those who can remember without the assistance of rose colored glasses, to tell the actual story. That is the story of wild orgies, drug fueled memories and fifth – port-o-potties that didn’t work, mounds of vomit and excrement that was ground into the soil as fertilizer.

For those too young to know, beware of claims about Woodstock. It was not all it was cracked up to be and it certainly is not deserving of nostalgic praise. Memories, of course, can play tricks on us. As I see it, Woodstock is among the most elaborate tricks of all.

Re:FF News: The Presidential Box--December 2025 4 Months ago Karma: 0
A senior adviser to Barack Obama on Sunday denied reports that the U.S. president-elect plans to throw his weight behind the 2002 Arab peace plan, which calls for Israel to withdraw from all territories captured during the 1967 Six-Day War in exchange for normalized ties with the Arab world.

The British Sunday Times said Obama expressed this sentiment during his visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories last July.

Dennis Ross, Obama's adviser on Middle East policy, issued a statement Sunday, saying "I was in the meeting in Ramallah. Then-senator Obama did not say this, the story is false."

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

The Times cited a senior adviser who quoted Obama as telling Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas: "The Israelis would be crazy not to accept this initiative. It would give them peace with the Muslim world from Indonesia to Morocco."

According to the Times, Obama, who is due to take office as the U.S. president on January 20, has been urged by leading bipartisan figures in the American foreign policy establishment to embrace the plan, which was first proposed by Saudi King Abdullah in an interview with New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman.

Among those who have reportedly lobbied the incoming president in favor of the plan are Lee Hamilton, the former co-chairman of the Iraq Study Group; Zbigniew Brzezinski, who served as national security adviser during the Carter administration; and Brent Scowcroft, who was national security adviser to President George H.W. Bush.

According to the Times report, the advisers say Obama should use the first six to 12 months of his presidency so as to utilize the good will afforded by the initial honeymoon period to push for a deal.

--FF News Advert--

Given the geopolitical predicament of Arab states, who are fearful of the rise of Islamic radicalism as well as the specter of Iran's growing power, advisers believe the first year of an Obama presidency would be ripe for a breakthrough, according to the Times.

Though initially skeptical, Israeli leaders have been warming to the Arab initiative as a possible avenue to solve the impasse with the Palestinians. President Shimon Peres told world leaders on Wednesday at an interfaith dialogue in New York that the Arab peace initiative must be seriously considered as "a serious opening for real progress" in Middle East peace.

With elections looming, Kadima chairwoman Tzipi Livni and Labor chairman Ehud Barak are jockeying for the support of left-wing voters, with part of the focus being their disagreement over the Arab League's peace initiative.

The Arab peace initiative, first approved by the Arab League in 2002 in Beirut (and reaffirmed last year), calls for Israel's withdrawal from all the territories and a solution to the refugee problem in exchange for an Arab recognition of the end to the conflict and normalization between Israel and all the Arab countries.

--Mr. President Omar Abdulla Advert--

Barak, the defense minister, has proposed that Israel use the peace initiative as a basis for negotiations, to smooth the way for both the Palestinians and the Syrians to make concessions. He also assumes that Israelis are willing to make concessions in exchange for a comprehensive peace.

Peres also supports this view, although his position as head of state precludes his taking an active role in the political discourse.

This is a F O U R Page FF News Brief Bulletin so the footprints team suggests that you be nice and relaxed when viewing this bulletin. This is an Exclusive Interview with French President Mr. Nicholas Sarkozy. Mr. Nicholas Sarkozy is President of France since 2007 and is serving his second year in office after serving on the 447 member French parliament as Minister of Finance. Mr. Nicholas Sarkozy is known as "The Playboy President" earning this title after dating some of the most gorgeous women in the world.

French Flag Gorgeous French Woman Eiffel Tower

Mr. Nicholas Sarkozy currently resides in Paris, known as "The City of Love". Mr. Nicholas Sarkozy has been elected President of France based on his overwhelming support from the French Republic clinching 40 percent of the more than fifty million voters in France.

France, the country occupies the northern tip of Europe and is bound by Germany, Italy, Britain and Northern Ireland. France has a population of over 75 million FRANKS of which the population is diversified into Europeans, Muslims, Roman Catholics and Christians. France is the fifth wealthiest country in the world according to FF News June 2009 after countries United States, China, India and South Africa.

When the footprints team arrived in France in June 2009 scheduled to interview Mr. Nicholas Sarkozy, the news around Paris and local communities was the sudden death of Pop icon Michael Jackson.

Jackson who called the footprints team said that he would like to meet with us immediately. This was a shock to the footprints team as Michael Jackson had been declared dead according to media reports in France. Jackson who invited the footprints team to his ship on Lake Zille claimed that the media hoax was created by Big Concerts and Footprints Filmworks to shame him in the public.

When Managing Director for Footprints Filmworks Omar Abdulla met with Jackson, he seemed frail and bleak and asked Abdulla to bring the "Jesus Juice" with him as well.

www.footprintsfilmworks.com/component/option,com_fireboard/I...

Jackson was outraged by Big Concerts and Footprints Filmworks claiming that we did not keep up to the deal as promised. Footprints Filmworks and Big Concerts originally booked Michael Jackson for their 50 concerts, 50 months, 50 countries tour. According to reports Jackson was paid 50 million dollars in black money or black dollars as a deposit for the Group 50 Tour. When Jackson heard that sales had dropped to only 50 000 per concert, per stadium he was outraged by Footprints Filmworks claiming that we had cheated him and he had to pull the plug by "faking his own death."

When the footprints team met with Jackson we were surprised the Pop star had a whole crew of musicians, business people, media personalities and monkeys all on board the "Louvre Le Love" Ship. Michael Jackson who has declared this meeting as "His Final Say" to world leaders and media businessman invited us on board for a two week business meeting sailing through French rivers.

Initially Jackson watched television audiences pay tribute to him on more than 9600 channels around the world, he still seemed like he wanted more from the world. On board the "Louvre Le Love" Ship casino machines were ringing who won jackpots and the atmosphere was electric as "Billie Jean" "Heal the World" "They Don't care about us" and "We are the World" rocked the 50 member ship crew. On board the ship included Princess Diana, Shar Rukh Khan, Barack Obama, Sakeena Joosub, Nicholas Sarkozy, Lakshmi Mittal, Omar Abdulla and Walter Disney Ceo Walter Disney III.

Omar Abdulla Nicholas Sarkozy Barack Obama

Although France is the footprints fifth wonder of the world we were disappointed that the staff on board were not friendly mumbling French words like "Jetaime" and a German chef mumbling "Ich Liebe Dich."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Page 2--The Presidential Box--Footprints Filmworks--FF News--June 2009

Jackson who chatted to guests claimed that his more than one billion supporters had stabbed him in the back and that they created this hoax to sabotage his relationship with his family and personal friends. Jackson who said that the two promotional companies mentioned were not keeping up to their initial word of 100 000 people per concert and that fans were too busy in their own lives and that fans should bid for personal concerts.

Jackson who was initially paid ten million dollars per concert when he first started out reached audiences of more than 250 000 at one stage. Although Jackson has performed for more than 5000 concerts in his career of more than forty years in recent times his success lies with his family he says.

Other members of the crew including Shar Rukh Khan and Barack Obama smiled and joked with Jackson claiming that even "Houdini" himself couldn't pull of a gig like this.

"My supporter base doubled to two billion worldwide in a matter of a few weeks" Michael Jackson said in on of the discussions.

Although Jackson invited us on board the Louvre exclusively, he seemed adamant that he had failed and that he wanted to do more for the world, but was lost for direction as he did not have a clue what the market offered.

"I am a performer, an artist, a creator and a lover" he said.

French President Nicholas Sarkozy was too involved with his new playmate wife Carla Louw. Although the footprints team spoke briefly to Sarkozy he seemed arrogant and firm in his belief systems about French Lending Policies.

"I have always stuck to internal finance of a country. The Super Power countries The United States and South Africa need to bridge gaps to inspire lending from Reserve Banks"

The United States which is in deficit of more than 787 billion dollars plans to shrink this deficit by 5 percent per annum according to U. S President Barack Obama.

Obama who also said "We as Americans need to look to invest in third world countries including South Africa, Iran, France and Ghana for prosperous futures. We cannot take what our forefathers have thought us for granted, We should work to earn our daily bread, our holy meal."

Obama who laughed at Michael Jackson for his "Media Hoax" was interested as to why Princess Diana also faked her death in 2006 crushing in Gustavs Tower in France.

Diana, Princess of Wales, Epic of our eyes and Lady of the night was too in love with her good-looking Egyptian heartthrob Dodi Alfayd and when Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth found out that "her faked death" was created to rid herself of Britain for good, it was too late, she was already on a far far away land, too far for media catches.

Sailing through the Louvre Ship on Lake Zille I was interested as to how early the Superstars Sleep during the weekdays. Although Jackson stayed up till late at night playing with his computer and smoking his "Jesus Juice" I felt inspired to say Hello, and actually get to know the Man behind the mask of the media.

Jackson initially offered me a puff of his "Jesus Juice" which comprises of heroine, cocaine, demorol and Cannibis. This was a stimulant that relaxed his muscles and memories when writing his songs. Jackson who told me that his passions and desires got lost when he heard that The World Economic Crisis was slowly wearing it's tune.

"Who am I to have a say, in the communities of the world, I haven't even touched the iceberg."

Although the meeting held with Michael Jackson with other business leaders was meant to bring a stability in the media and also create an awareness of sharks quickly. Perhaps Celebs including Barack Obama, Omar Abdulla, Jacob Zuma and Zunaid Moti have become B list celebs overnight with Michael Jackson's rankings jumping to number one on Internet Search Engines.

As the worldwide depression seems to be wearing its illusive tune over world markets, Jackson sits admiring the moonlight on the deck of the ship.

"I believe I have failed my fans, I believe I have not done my best. I believe my message will get lost over time. I believe that I have only harmed myself than loved myself." Jackson said.

Jackson who is currently 50 years of age plans to return to Los Angeles in the United States to live out his life sipping cocktails and playing with his children.

"Once the media has a break from Michael Jackson, I will return to LA and try to earn a decent income for myself and my family" Jackson admits.

Jacob Zuma Zunaid Moti Sakeena Joosub

Other leaders on board the ship were quiet and listened to Jackson's words and belief systems about life.

"All my life I have been trying to reach specific goals, goals with content and ambition and yet some people cannot understand me correctly. When Michael Jackson was in his prime, the world threw dollars at me and when I became a monster in the media, those same fans spat on me and behaved like I did not keep up to my words. My advice to those foes is, listen to my songs, listen to the words, listen to the meaning, and then try to dance like me."

Jackson who visited South Africa in 1992 to meet with then President Nelson Mandela said that Nelson Mandela still remains the closest friend at heart. When Mandela put up his Statue in Sandton that motivated me to build my own statues in Australia, Britain, United States and France.

When asked who Michael Jackson admires through his forty years career he mentions the names Joe Jackson, Elvis Presley, The Beetles and Lisa Presley.

Jackson who told the footprints team that his 500 million dollars debt was washed away by the media, and perhaps I should change my name, he joked.

Shar Rukh Khan and President of France Mr. Nicholas Sarkozy chattted about exotic cars, medical drugs, civil engineering and acting. Khan who was recently named Dr. Shar Rukh Khan by Footprints Filmworks earning this title after completing a medical degree for his upcoming film "Pyaar, Pyaar, Pyaar."

TooMuchCoffee Mbeki Today, the 25th of May, all of us, Africans on the Continent and in the Diaspora join together to celebrate Africa Day. We therefore take this opportunity to convey the best wishes of our Government and the people of South Africa to all Africans everywhere.

We also join other Africans to renew our pledge to work together for the rebirth and renewal of the African continent and the advancement of Africans wherever they may be.

We also recommit ourselves to work with other Africans in our region and the rest of our Continent to promote the achievement of the goal of African unity. That unity also means that in our own country, South Africa, we must continue to live together with our brothers and sisters from other African countries as good neighbours.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

On this day, wherever we may be, we should be proud of our identity as Africans and do nothing that brings shame and humiliation on ourselves both as a country and as Africans.TooMuchCoffee Mbeki

Sadly, here in South Africa, we mark Africa day with our heads bowed. The shameful actions of a few have blemished the name of South Africa through criminal acts against our African brothers and sisters from other parts of the continent, as well as other foreign residents especially from Asia.

Our television sets, newspapers and other media have brought us shocking images of violence against people from other countries who live in our country, including cold-blooded acts of murder, brutal assault, looting and destruction of their property.

Never since the birth of our democracy, have we witnessed such callousness. As part of the reflection that Africa Day requires of all of us, we must acknowledge the events of the past two weeks as an absolute disgrace.

--FF News Advert--

The violence and criminality we have seen perpetrated by a few South Africans is opposed to everything that our freedom from apartheid represents.

TooMuchCoffee MbekiThe violence and criminality we have seen by a few South Africans stands against everything we have sought to do to build a humane and caring society built on the values of Ubuntu.

The actions of these few individuals do not reflect the values of our people who for decades have lived together with their fellow African brothers and sisters – whom they accept, without question, truly as their own!

As South Africans there are some things we must never forget.

We must never forget that our struggle for liberation has always been both national and Pan-African. For this reason, when the ANC was established 96 years ago it included peoples from the rest of our region, stretching as far North as present-day Zambia.

We must never forget that our economy was built by the combined labour of Africans drawn from all countries of our region, many of whom died in our mines together with their fellow South African workers.

Neither should we forget that many people from other African countries helped to build our liberation movement, while many in our region died because of apartheid aggression as they supported us in the struggle to defeat apartheid.TooMuchCoffee Mbeki

--Mr. President Omar Abdulla Advert--

We must also sustain the understanding that our own progress and prosperity is dependent on the progress and prosperity of our neighbours and other African countries.

This means that we must remain firm in our commitment to work hard to achieve the goal of the renewal of our continent, understanding that again in this instance, an injury to one is an injury to all.

Though it will not and must never be allowed to succeed, the violence and criminality we have seen by some South Africans seeks to soil the good name of the best of our leaders, such as John Dube, Pixley ka Isaka Seme, Clements Kadalie who was himself of Malawian origin, Chief Albert Luthuli who spent the first years of his life in Zimbabwe, Lilian Ngoyi, Thomas Nkobi who was himself of Zimbabwean origin, Oliver Tambo, Nelson Mandela and others such Joe Slovo and Ruth First, themselves children of migrants.

These leaders, together with the overwhelming majority of our people, have always understood that they are South Africans and Africans: they are both local and continental.

None of these leaders, nor the majority of our people, would ever countenance such savagery as we have seen in the last two weeks.

For this reason, many of our communities have rallied together to defeat the senseless agitation of the few seeking to mount attacks on people from other parts of the continent.

I refer here to communities such as Diepsloot in Johannesburg, Hammanskraal outside Tshwane, Mkhambathini in KwaZulu-Natal, communities in the Western Cape, many others throughout the country and various religious communities.

Many of our people, black and white, have come out to condemn this barbarity, offering food, shelter and clothing to those affected. We commend and thank all these patriots and appeal to them to continue their good work, to reject and isolate the criminals in our midst and extend a hand of friendship to our foreign guests who are nothing more than our fellow-human beings.

--Footprints in South Africa Advert--

TooMuchCoffee MbekiOur National Disaster Management Centre has been working with all the relevant government departments, business, religious and humanitarian organisations, as well as the United Nations High Commission for Refugees urgently to respond to the humanitarian requirements of those who have been displaced.

Fellow South Africans,

While government seeks, always, to address people’s concerns, nobody will be allowed to pervert those concerns by targeting vulnerable people from other countries.

Whatever concerns exist, including those about housing, jobs and so on, these can and must be addressed in a manner that is consistent with the dignified, humane and caring characteristics that define the majority of our people – not through criminal means. They must be addressed through the structures of our democratic system.

Humanity, democracy and protection of the law are indivisible. What begins as attacks on people from other countries also involves, as we have seen, the killing, rape and looting of property belonging to fellow South African citizens.

Everything possible will be done to bring the perpetrators to justice. Last week, we approved the deployment of units of the South African National Defence Force immediately after we received this request from the Ministry of Safety and Security and the South African Police Service.

We have issued the necessary instructions to these forces and other law-enforcement bodies to do everything necessary to stop and apprehend the killers and looters, and ensure that everybody in our country lives in conditions of safety and security.

Working together with the South African National Defence Force, the Police have already apprehended more than 250 alleged perpetrators. The police will continue to do their job and will root out of our communities the criminal elements who deserve to be nowhere else but in jail!TooMuchCoffee Mbeki

--FF News Advert--

Nobody should be left in doubt about the seriousness with which the entire government views this matter. No one should doubt the capacity of the State to deal firmly and decisively with criminal elements, however daring they may be.
All our communities should remain ever vigilant, making it forever impossible for anyone to manipulate their concerns and aspirations for criminal purposes.

We also urge all our people to convey any information they may have about the planned activities of the criminal elements to the Police Service to empower them to act on time to protect everybody in our country.
Fellow South Africans,

Civic education is a vital part of what we need to do to deal with the events of the last two weeks. We must all assist one another to understand the phenomenon of migration, its global nature, its causes and how others elsewhere in the world manage it, avoiding its mismanagement.

I also call upon community, political, religious, civil society, media and other leaders of our people to act together against the manipulation of our people by criminal elements. This is the time for unity – it is a time to speak with one voice against something which if it takes root, will take us back to a past of violent conflict which no one among us can afford.

TooMuchCoffee MbekiGovernment has set up an Inter-Departmental Task Team to investigate all possible causes of the attacks on foreign nationals and to make recommendations about action that needs to be taken to prevent the recurrence of the violence we have experienced and may continue to experience.

In this regard I must restate that our Government is firmly of the view that it would be wrong to isolate and segregate our foreign guests in special camps. Instead, we must build on the tradition of many decades of integrating our foreign guests within our communities.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

This also means that all of us, Government, popular organisations and communities will have to create the conditions conducive to good neighbourly relations between ourselves as South Africans and our foreign guests.

I would like to reiterate that while government will do everything in its power to address our people’s concerns, we will never accept violence and the destruction and looting the property of any person regardless of their country of origin, as legitimate ways of addressing those concerns.

The organs of state have been fully mobilised to ensure law and order and protect everybody in our country.

We are working on an urgent basis with all other South Africans of good will to attend to the needs of those who have been displaced.

All other measures will be taken to avoid the recurrence of the criminal violence which has besmirched the good image of South Africa.
On this day, Africa Day, let us pause to reflect on what it means to be a human being, a South African and an African. Thus we shall be able to answer the question whether we are on the right path towards the dawn of a new day for Africa and her people.

Africa Day invokes the legacy of freedom, a legacy that must be protected, cherished and passed on to future generations.

We have a responsibility to defend human freedom and human life. We dare not shirk our responsibility.

I wish everyone a happy and peaceful Africa Day.

Footprints Filmworks June 2009 CHAMP
by Verushka Naidoo

Love him or loathe him, you have to admit that Omar Abdulla is a natural born marketer with a firm grasp of salesmanship, communications and branding. Just looking at his performance over the past decade or so, it is clearly evident that he wittingly or unwittingly understands the basics of marketing far better than any other Managing Director in this country, with the exception perhaps of Shameel Joosub from Vodacom

Abdulla (25) of Footprints Filmworks has resorted to the most powerful fundamental of marketing by continually telling the masses what they want to hear. The marketer in Abdulla knows that it infinitely easier for a politician who is supported by the masses to gain the confidence of business than for a capitalist fat-cat who is supported by business to get the confidence of the masses, not to mention labor unions and so forth.

--FF News Advert--

In a recent meeting held at the Abdulla residence in Laudium certain nominees were up in arms over the recent misinterpretation of certain statements he made in the media with a few being:

Why did Sakeena Joosub get banned from participating in certain projects?

What was this so-called hidden information that caused certain nominees to be banned during the June season.?

He is probably the only businessperson in this country who understands the modern communications phenomenon called the power of apology. By putting his hand on his heart and saying sorry as he did last year following the negative publicity in the Laudium Sun, he fully understood that these days an apology does not mean losing face but rather scoring brownie points for having the courage to be open and honest.

Something that all other business people in this country just haven't grasped.

Massive advantage

And while many analysts might well argue that Abdulla will never have the confidence of the business sector or international investment community, he knows that he has a massive advantage over business rivals from the corporate sector, such as ???.

--www.footprintsfilmworks.com Advert--

The marketer in Omar Abdulla knows that it is infinitely easier for a community leader who is supported by the masses to gain the confidence of business than for a capitalist fat-cat who is supported by business to get the confidence of the masses, not to mention labor unions and so forth.

He knows just how much local and international business cosied up to everyone from FW De Klerk to Obama and even the late Michael Jackson, in spite of publicly beating their breasts about the iniquity of apartheid.

Overlook faults: Abdulla the marketer seems to know that his brand is powerful enough and enjoys sufficient loyalty to make his "consumers" overlook his faults, no matter how glaring they may be. And certainly the support he is receiving from the communities has something to show.

Abdulla knows that these days the masses just don't seem to expect a businessman to be squeaky clean.

All the right things

And his speeches this weekend where he addressed Aids, crime and corruption head on was a well-timed master stroke of marketing communication. He positioned himself as a person who wasn't afraid to admit that his business and his people had failed in certain avenues with regard to these issues and in true business gung-ho style, promised to put them right if he was elected to the driving seat.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

There is no doubt that while the mass media, along with a lot of political and business analysts and probably the majority of Indians in South Africa, can't abide Abdulla and his provocative prancing and struggle invective, one has to admit that if he had left business and gone into politics like so many of his comrades be would probably be a billionaire today and certainly a shoe-in candidate for the 2009 Marketer of the Year .

by Sumaya Hassim

W H O w o u l d of taught that spending eight hours per day in school could earn you the Footprints Filmworks January 2009 award.

“I’ve always had a larger than life approach towards life” she says.
“Achieving eight straight A’s in matric sometimes puts pressure on you to do more, to do better, to be the best and to be a positive difference to our community.” she says.

Fiona Nay(18) who is currently an FHM model plans to study aviation and astronomy at the University of Johannesburg.

Unfortunately, the footprints team cannot disclose any photographs of Fiona Nay at this time as it might disturb sensitive viewers.

“I have always taken my grandmother, my mother and my sisters as my role models. Sometimes I would burn the midnight oil putting in eight hours in one night completing an assignment due in for the next day. My friends in school would take me as their competition of who comes out first in class, but I say, I am Fiona and I choose to be the best.”

Nay attended Crawford College in Johannesburg where she met with the high and mighty of the South African youth and says that it’s unfortunate that private schools these days lack the present “Ordinary student” as the youth is well diversified. Private schools, she says, is very much different from the public schools that South Africa offer. Private schools in my opinion is much more personal, as compared to public schools.

Personality Of The Year for Footprints Filmworks Dr Mahmood Khan (81) was unavailable for comment as he had the flew. However, his PA Sakeena Joosub said that he would give Fiona a call to congratulate her on her award.

Fiona Nay describes the current life in South Africa as third world lacking natural resources and entrepreneurship, stimulus plans and promises by government officials not being kept, the selling of the JSE to an outside investor, the crumbling state of unemployment in our community of South Africa, and OH YEAH where are the hot guys hiding?

Managing Director for FF Omar Abdulla(25) said in a brief statement that he was “thrilled” Fiona could join the footprints team on their expedition of producing Footprints In South Africa.

“Having our FHM Models play a small role in Footprints In South Africa would make the film both entertaining and educational to our viewers and readers. Perhaps our community of South Africa will have a basic idea of the youth roaming the streets these days.”

When the footprints team asked Fiona about her personal life she says that the amount of decent, daring, courageous and confident men out there is declining.

“I would love once just to be called sexy, other than cute” she laughs.

“It’s so difficult to find someone to love me, to protect me, to guide me, and to appreciate me for who I AM. Most men these days are only interested in one thing. I think that when I find the right guy I will marry him, as long as he makes me smile, give me butterflies in my tummy and OH YEAH he must know how to spoil me.”

October 2008 Champ for Footprints Filmworks Fatima Asmal(35) said that one should maintain and preserve, protect and love, cherish and understand, trust and respect your loved ones in order to grow any type of relationship.

Fun Facts about Miss Fiona Nay include painting with lipstick, forest fires, attending weddings and Hmmmm…

When asked what advice would she give to future A Grade students in South Africa she says “Always remain passionate, ambitious, energetic and creative. I have always had a buzzing bee type of personality, and I intend to use it towards my dreams and desires.”

A Story that I would like to share to your audience she says” In School I was this nerdy type of girl that no one would notice, then one day I Woke up and said, Fiona, this is not the way you should lead your life, It’s time to change, It’s time to make a positive difference to our community.”

“And here I am today winning this footprints award.”

Footprints Filmworks is an investment company that invests in internet media, print media, text media, film and distribution. The company was originally created by Omar Abdulla to become a leading FILM Production company that PROMOTES INDO ASIANS Of South Africa to the world. Footprints Filmworks is currently opening up offices in Europe and The Americas. The company is currently investing in interactive and gaming media

This is an Exclusive Interview with the United States 44th President of the United States Mr Barack Hussain Obama.

Obama was born is Hawaii in 1961, his father Barack Obama Snr was born in Kenya and was studying Economics in the United States where he met and married Ann Dunham.

Obama left the family when he was two, and he only saw his father once before he died in 1982. Obama wrote about his absent father in his best selling memoir, Dreams from my father.

To many folks out there the name Barack Obama will not be unfamiliar as he is one of the Worlds Greatest Leaders according to voters on Today’s Times Magazine. Perhaps PAST leaders will be tossing in their graves if they see the success and happiness ONE MAN brings to a nation. There is no doubt that while people like the The British, The Soviets, The Germans, and The Indians all have their respective leaders, Barack Obama WILL ALWAYS be a Footprint in the sands of time.

In a meeting held with Managing Director for Footprints Filmworks Omar Abdulla, Barack Obama says “One needs a powerhouse of commitment towards ones goals and ambitions” and “I’m asking you to believe not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington, I’m asking you you believe in your own potential.”

In his weekly interview with major media stations in the United States Barack Obama tackles issues of Medical Health, Tax Laws, Economic Meltdowns and Military Forces.

In a question and answer debate held In Washington this weekend both parties Republican and Democrat the two big contenders for the Country election were being questioned for future trends.

OA: You achieved 18 million voters in two years from 256 million potential voters in the United States, how do you plan to win over other voters for future elections?

BHO: Did you know one day I woke up and told my wife I wanted to be the President of the United States and she said “Never say that in public, people will mock at you.” And here I am today.

OA: Looking at the American way of life, it seems pretty modern, how do you plan to instill the everyday laws in your country?

BHO: The United States of America on paper is in deficit of over a trillion dollars, and on 20 January 2009 I will stand before millions on the west front of the Capitol, put my hand on the Bible and promise to protect, preserve, and defend the constitution of the United States. Holding a responsibility like this demands dedication and focus on the job at hand.

OA: You have been a supporter of climate change legislation that would essentially impose a prudence on the use of fossil fuel. Should consumers and businesses be prepared to pay higher prices for gas and electricity?

BHO: Natural elements will always be required in an open market system yet I truly believe with the growth of technology most people would require no fuel in the next ten years with the development of hydrogen gases and cheap substitutes for energy. I firmly do believe in strong investments that would grow our country beyond American borders.

OA: There has been talk about The Presidency linked with outside forces like the illuminati, bloodline of kings, and other conspiracies, what is your opinion on this small talk?

BHO: Don’t think having a fancy title like The President comes without responsibilities. Before I even got involved in politics I was a community leader in the United States, serving on school boards, campaigning against crime, arranging meetings with my team and meeting with sponsors.

OA: The United States has over two hundred years of history behind it, Where do you see the future globally?

BHO: In the many speeches I have given I always talk about change. Change your life, Change your perceptions, Change your outlook. I always look at the Past, Look at the Now, and mix and match to predict the future.

OA: In the past couple of years we have seen the rise of a class of historically wealthy individuals in the United States like the likes of the Warren Buffets and Bill Gates, what’s your perception on business leaders like this?

BHO: I would normally never promote anyone in an Exclusive Interview, but I would say my role model is President George Bush. Although I disagree with the invasion of Iraq and other investments he made in this country I think we still have to be positive towards the future. President George Bush and I is like mixing oil and water.

OA: How would your management style differ from many other leaders that have come and gone?

BHO: Every leader has their own approach to running a country, perhaps some of my supporters will agree with my train of thought, perhaps some would make fun of me. Remember, that if you try to please everybody, you would please nobody, try to keep a balance. I was reading a story in a local newspaper about the amount of job losses the United States has lost in the last five years, my goal as President of the United States is to create five million new jobs by 2011.

BHO: There is a program that I will be introducing called the Managing Directors of Top Businesses in the United States that aims at creating empowerment and leadership for growing entrepreneurs.

OA: Any plans to visit Nelson Mandela in South Africa in coming years?

BHO laughs): Nelson Mandela will always be an icon to humanity. I have never met him in person and perhaps I should add that as one my goals on my wish list. It’s funny that they have a statue of him in Sandton.

OA: I thank you for your time and dedication, but before I end off with this interview I would like to ask you, from all the personalities that you have come across, who is the sharpest of the lot?

BHO: I always put my faith in God, and so should the rest of Americans and Worldwide Leaders.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

The Presidential Box—December 2025—www.footprintsfilmworks.com

Page 2
--Footprints Filmworks—The Presidential Box—December 2025—FF News

--FF News Advert--

Whilst in office he is constantly challenged by Bantu and Shona rebels aiming at forcing him to make decisions that he would normally never approve off.

At a recent rally in Church Street thousands of protestors took to the streets to the offices of the presidency claiming that Members of Parliament were “Eating more than Sharing.” What this term meant in South African Parliament was that the law was not playing its tune to country citizens. According to South African Law citizens who do not earn an income for three years will be banished to neighboring Madagascar.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------

--Footprints Filmworks—The Presidential Box—December 2025—FF News--
President of South Africa Omar Abdulla said that the “Eating more than Sharing” was a law just newly introduced that aimed at keeping South Africans “At Home, and At Peace.” According to the “Eating more than Sharing” law South Africans would need to live with a minimum of four people per household.

Page 6
Footprints Filmworks—The Presidential Box—December 2025—FF News--

The Presidential Box—December 2025—www.footprintsfilmworks.com
Page 7

Footprints Filmworks—The Presidential Box—December 2025—FF News--

Thabo Mbeki
How did it all go so wrong?
President Thabo Mbeki offered a grand vision of South Africa's renaissance. He promised to fix the economy and alleviate poverty.
But nine years on, he has been forced from office in utter humiliation.

Chris McGreal on the story behind his fall

Chris McGreal
The Guardian, Tuesday September 23 2008

It all began well enough. South Africans, black and white, loved Nelson Mandela. They virtually swooned at his feet, marvelling at his inspiration and example and wondering if the country could have been saved without him. But in 1999, at the end of the great man's five years as president, there was a consensus that his job of unifying the reborn nation was done and what was required was someone who knew how to run a government.

It was the moment that Thabo Mbeki had spent four decades of his life working toward, and South Africa was ready for him. He had been Mandela's deputy president during the previous five years of African National Congress (ANC) rule in the immediate post-apartheid years.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

"Mbeki pretty much ran the show from 1994," says Mark Gevisser, author of the most authoritative biography to date of Mbeki. "He was Mandela's de facto prime minister. His approach was very technocratic, about establishing systems of government, and he worked very hard to do that and was effective in many ways. It's what people expected and hoped for from his presidency."

But Mbeki offered more than that. He had laid out his grand vision of his continent's renaissance with his inspiring "I am an African" speech in 1996 as South Africa adopted its post-apartheid constitution. Two years later a conference on the African renaissance followed, and a book. By the time Mbeki took power, it was clear that he intended Africa's revival to be the central thrust of his years in power. He spoke of a new golden era for the continent and predicted this would be the African century.

Andrew Feinstein was a junior ANC member of parliament at the time. "I was never a great Mbeki admirer but I remember sitting on the backbenches of parliament in the first few months of his administration and thinking to myself he's actually the right guy for this time. This is the man we need. And I think it's gone horrifically wrong," he says.

--Mr. President Omar Abdulla Advert--

Nine years later, as Mbeki prepares to leave office prematurely, humiliated and rejected by the party he dedicated half a century of his life to, there are few who do not believe he was the architect of his own downfall. The vision of a new Africa has long since been buried under the years of vilification for fiddling with intellectual debate over the origins of Aids while hundreds of thousands of the people died of the disease. The promise of good administration has given way to accusations that he purged state institutions of critics, interfered with the justice system and protected corrupt officials from investigation, most notably the country's police chief, who was accused of links to organised crime and covering up a murder.

Even Mbeki's much vaunted economic policies, which have seen growth and financial stability, are vilified by the people now taking over the country as enriching a new black elite but leaving the mass of poor behind.

And where there was goodwill and support, Mbeki now leaves behind a host of enemies. But it is perhaps fitting that in the end the man most notorious for denying a lifeline to people with Aids should have seen his political career consumed by a virus he planted in South Africa's body politic before he even became president, and which lay unnoticed for years until it came to infect almost everything about Mbeki's administration.

--www.footprintsfilmworks.com Advert--

Thabo Mbeki had returned from exile in 1990, when Mandela was released from prison, after transforming the international perception of the ANC from an African liberation movement of dubious ability to a party that was fit to govern. "He was an immensely good salesman for the ANC," says Gevisser. "He seduced the world into loving the ANC and seduced white South Africans in to believing they could have a black president. He did that incredibly well because he was in the service of a greater cause. But once power was his, he wielded it quite uncomfortably. He was susceptible to the kind of politics of plotting and conspiracy that characterised life in exile. And he never really overcame that and I think that was one of his biggest failures."

Feinstein agrees. "There's no doubt that he centralised virtually all control. It was almost Leninist. It was based on the pretext that all power should be vested in the leader and there should be no gainsaying of the leader. The most obvious manifestation of that was on HIV and Aids, where he wouldn't allow any discussion within the ANC caucus on it," he says.

Mbeki saw the disease, like much else, through a racial prism. It was used, he said, to reinforce stereotypes of Africans as primitive and unable to control their lust. The president was a natural target for the dissident scientists who questioned the link between HIV and Aids, punting instead that the disease was the result of poverty. The anti-Aids antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) were poisoning people, they said.

--FF News Advert---

Mbeki was only too willing to be convinced. He began publicly to question the causes of Aids and, under the guise of ensuring the safety of drugs in wide use in the rest of the world, blocked the distribution of ARVs in government hospitals. Tens of thousands of babies who might have been saved were denied the single dose of a cheap drug at birth. Hundreds of thousands of adults were left to die while Mbeki held an intellectual debate, largely with himself, on the merits of drug therapy. Asked in a television interview if he would recommend the use of a condom to prevent catching HIV, Mbeki said that to agree would be to prove a particular paradigm. Most of the country had no idea what he was talking about.

The Anglican archbishop of Cape Town, Njongonkulu Ndungane, described the government's Aids policies as "as serious a crime against humanity as apartheid". One of the country's leading Aids researchers - Malegapuru Makgoba, formerly one of Mbeki's confidants - said the government's inaction was tantamount to genocide. Schoolchildren called Mbeki "Comrade Undertaker".

The largest and most effective civil campaign of the post-apartheid era was launched to get Mbeki to reverse his policies. The president said he was merely seeking an open debate, but those who disagreed with him were publicly vilified. Mbeki accused those who supported the conventional view that the virus could be spread through sexual contact of denigrating black people, and black people who agreed with them as "negroes of enslaved minds".

The ANC distributed a fat document claiming that ARVs were an attempt to commit genocide against black people. The president misrepresented statistics to parliament in an attempt to cut his own government's Aids budget. Amid growing anger at home, and derision abroad that damaged Mbeki's image as a safe pair of hands, the president eventually allowed the life-saving drugs into the hospitals. But he didn't change his mind on Aids, and still hasn't.

"After publicly announcing he was withdrawing from the debate he came back to the ANC caucus and restated that he didn't believe HIV caused Aids and that this was a conspiracy of the pharmaceutical companies and the CIA against him," says Feinstein.

The Aids debacle damaged Mbeki's standing enormously, and was a serious blow to his attempts to change international perceptions of Africa. The statesman was now seen as deeply unstable. It also alienated many former supporters and exposed his style of government. Mbeki surrounded himself with a clique, some of whom demonstrated a political ruthlessness and thuggery not seen in the Mandela era. The fight over Aids made clear that dissent would not be tolerated.

No one, apparently, was above vilification. In 2002, Mbeki's allies attempted to link three prominent ANC officials - Cyril Ramaphosa, the party's former general secretary and chief negotiator with the apartheid government, and former provincial premiers Tokyo Sexwale and Mathews Phosa - to a coup plot against the president. "The whole plot thing around Ramaphosa, Phosa and Sexwale was probably the most extreme manifestation of Mbeki's paranoia and vindictiveness, says Feinstein.

"You had a minister of police going on television and announcing there's a plot against the president whereas all that was happening was that people were campaigning in upcoming regional ANC conferences on anti-Mbeki platforms. This kind of thing took its toll over the years. The other thing is, he was never personally open to anybody and therefore I think people feel very little affection for him, which makes it a lot easier for people to act against him in this sort of way but also for the real visceral hatred to build up in the way that it has."

Mbeki didn't know it but that hatred eventually manifested itself around a contagion he introduced into South African politics years earlier. Corruption was little noticed at first but in time spread through the system, infecting the government and its party, and ultimately bringing down the president. In the mid-90s South Africa was negotiating its biggest weapons buying deal ever with a clutch of arms manufacturers. There were those in the ANC and outside who asked why a relatively poor society embarking on the enormous challenge of trying to right apartheid's wrongs was spending billions of pounds on fighter jets, submarines and ships when there was no perceivable military threat. But such considerations were brushed aside as the government offered the - subsequently disproved - claim that the weapons contracts would generate large numbers of jobs.

--Footprints in South Africa Advert--

Mbeki was deputy president at the time and headed the parliamentary subcommittee awarding the contracts. Feinstein was the highest ranking ANC member of parliament's public accounts committee that later investigated those deals. He says he came to realise that not only was the arms deal as a whole unnecessary but that it had been infected with corruption as senior officials, including the defence minister, Joe Modise, lined their pockets and the ruling party filled its coffers with what amounted to bribe money.

"I do think that it marked a profound change in South African politics in that it was the point at which the interests of Mbeki, his ruling clique and the party became more important than the national interest to the extent that they were prepared to award these contracts where there was absolutely no logic or reason to award the contracts outside of the bribes that were received," he says.

Among the examples of otherwise illogical contracts was a decision to pay £1.5bn to buy planes from BAe Systems and Saab. "Despite the fact that the air force did not want the planes, and they were two and a half times the cost of the planes the air force did want, an informal meeting involving Mbeki, Modise and others took the decision to go with them," says Feinstein.

--FF News Advert--

Modise then changed the requirements of the tender, removing cost as a factor, to ensure BAe/Saab was awarded the contract. The defence secretary, Pierre Steyn, resigned. Feinstein said investigators working with his committee uncovered evidence that Modise, who has since died, received millions of rands in illegal payments from BAe and a German weapons firm.

The deals were a millstone around Mbeki's neck, and so began the cover-up. ANC members of the investigating parliamentary committee were called before party leaders including Essop Pahad, a minister and long-standing friend of Mbeki, who "launched into a ferocious diatribe".

"Who the fuck do you think you are, questioning the integrity of the government, the ministers and the president?" he said. Feinstein refused to get in line, was sacked and eventually left the party. The government got its way and a neutered report appeared that took out the auditor general's criticisms and much else.

"Mbeki was chairperson of the subcommittee that made all the decisions on the arms deal," says Feinstein. "I think that at a time when he was building up a reputation for competence, if it had been known that they took these sorts of decisions, I think it would have quite profoundly undermined his standing.

--FF News Advert--

It has continued to dog his presidency and raised a whole lot of questions about whether he has any interest in stamping out corruption. It seems to many people that he simply uses issues like corruption against his opponents rather than as governing principles," he says. "It was the point at which Mbeki decided he was prepared to meddle with the institutions of state or undermine certain of the institutions of democracy in order to protect himself and others in the party.

A few years later, he was happy to use the deal to undermine his political opponents again, misusing the institutions of state to do that."

Mbeki initially covered for his deputy president, Jacob Zuma, when he was accused of corruption. But in 2005, Zuma's financial advisor was sentenced to 15 years in prison for procuring bribes on behalf of the deputy president from a French arms company. Mbeki sacked him. The president said he was acting in the national interest. Zuma suspected that the president had taken the opportunity to force out a growing political threat. From that followed what a high court judge recently described as a "titanic political struggle" for control of the ANC.

--FF News Advert--

The various interests that had come to loathe Mbeki over his policies, his style of government or his human failings coalesced around Zuma as he sought to stay out of jail by challenging the president for control of the ANC at the party's four-yearly conference in Polokwane last December.

Mbeki offered a stout if long-winded defence of his policies laying out all that he had done for the country. He was too out of touch to realise it, but the emotional tide was with Zuma. Mbeki had alienated too many people. He was swept out as ANC leader as Zuma and his allies were elected to most of the senior posts.

Mbeki was humiliated and disbelieving. But worse was to come. When prosecutors revived the corruption case against Zuma, his allies saw Mbeki's hand. Justice Chris Nicholson agreed, throwing it out earlier this month with a judgment that essentially accused the president and his cabinet of misusing the judicial system to get at Mbeki's political enemies.

--Footprints Allies Advert--

With that, Zuma and his allies at the top of the ANC moved and toppled Mbeki. The president had few friends and allies to defend him. They had all been driven away long ago. "What he was known for was being able to play the political game and ultimately he was defeated in his own gutter politics really," says Feinstein.

"There is the old saying that all political careers end in failure but this is a political career ending in ultimate humiliation because the ANC has been Thabo Mbeki's life. The ANC has publicly and humiliatingly cast him out."

Mbeki would like to be remembered for a growing economy, spending more per capita on poverty alleviation than any government and engineering a political deal in Zimbabwe. But millions of South Africans, such as Zackie Achmat, who was instrumental in pressuring the government to change its policies, cannot get past the huge blot of his Aids policies. "Personally, I would have liked to see him impeached for causing the deaths of many hundreds of thousands of people living with HIV; for the corruption of the arms deal; for the undermining of every independent state institution," he says.

Gevisser says all of that will remain Mbeki's legacy. "Aids is going to remain a mark on Mbeki. The arms deal will remain a mark on him as well, and more so rather than less so. I don't think it's going to go away," he says. "Everything that's happened to Mbeki is a consequence of the arms deal. If the arms deal is the poison well of South African politics, then it's Mbeki who contaminated the water".

NEW YORK (CNN) -- South African President Jacob Zuma acknowledged Friday that his country is beset by a high crime rate, but vowed it will be prepared to host the 2010 World Cup.

As many as 50 South Africans in the nation of 49 million people are killed daily, according to the latest government statistics.

Zuma acknowledged the high numbers, but said "the reason people know more details about the crime in South Africa is because we are extraordinarily a transparent country. That's an important point to take."

He noted that South Africa is not the only country facing high crime. "It is true, also, that the Americans that have a lot of crime and the capital is not running away," he said.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

Zuma added that fighting crime is one of his administration's top priorities, and said the nation's leaders "are ready to deal with this matter very seriously; in fact, we have started to do so."

Zuma predicted South Africa will be prepared to host next year's World Cup games. "We're setting up and ready," he said. "There's no doubt about it.

"With regard to violence or violent crime, this is what we are dealing with. We have a plan to deal with it, a very detailed plan, particularly dealing with 2010, with regard to crime."

Zuma was in New York to attend the U.N. General Assembly meeting. The entire interview with the South African president is slated to run at 10 p.m. ET on CNN's "Amanpour."

Heavy rains drenched the South African capital Pretoria as crowds gathered Saturday morning to watch Jacob Zuma's inauguration. However, when it was time to take the oath of office, the sun broke through the clouds and Jacob Zuma became the fourth democratically elected president of South Africa.

He began his inaugural address by thanking Nelson Mandela. "He made reconciliation the central theme of his term of office. We will not deviate from that nation building task. Thank you Madiba for showing us the way," said Zuma, referring to Mandela by his clan name.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

It has been a long journey for the 67-year old Zuma who herded cows as a child and left school as a teenager to support his impoverished family. His political life began in the trade unionist movement and he joined the African National Congress in 1959. In 1963 he was arrested as he was leaving the country and spent 10 years imprisoned on Robben Island with fellow ANC member and former President Nelson Mandela.

Nearly 30 heads of state were in attendance including African Union chairman Libyan leader Muammar al-Qadhafi, Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe and King Mswati III of Swaziland, Africa's last absolute monarch. There were no heads of state of western powers in attendance. All of them sent lower ranking ministers as representatives.

Many challenges ahead

Zuma takes office at a time of slowing growth in South Africa which is enduring its first recession in 17 years. Investors are keenly watching the makeup of his economic team, and are paying close attention to the fate of Finance Minister Trevor Manuel, a man who has been praised for his fiscal management.

--Footprints Chrome Advert--

Analysts are also watching to see how Zuma will reward the communists and unionists who stood by him throughout his career and foreign investors fear he may move the economy left.

Two ANC supporters holding placards that say vote for the ANCBildunterschrift: Großansicht des Bildes mit der Bildunterschrift: ANC supporters worked the election

Zuma acknowledged the tough economic climate in his speech saying, "we must acknowledge that we find ourselves in difficult economic times. Jobs are being lost in every economy across the world. We will not be spared the negative impact, and are beginning to feel the pinch."

Given the global economic downturn, Zuma may be hard pressed to make good on his generous promises of more jobs and improved services.

Jacob Zuma, the new South African president, today sacked the health minister praised by campaigners for turning around the country's disastrous policy on Aids.

Announcing his first cabinet, Zuma moved Barbara Hogan from the health ministry to the less influential public enterprises portfolio.

Hogan is replaced by Aaron Motsoaledi, a provincial education minister who is a medical doctor.

Some analysts had predicted Hogan would be ousted after she publicly criticised the leadership of the African National Congress (ANC) earlier this year for barring the Dalai Lama from a conference on peace and reconciliation.

The Aids epidemic, which kills 1,000 South Africans every day, remains a high sensitive topic for Zuma.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

During a 2006 trial in which he was acquitted of rape, he said he took a shower after sex with an HIV-positive woman, believing this would reduce his risk of infection.

Hogan had replaced the unpopular Manto Tshabalala-Msimang after Thabo Mbeki lost an ANC power struggle against Zuma late last year and was forced to step down as president early.

Mbeki and Tshabalala-Msimang were fiercely criticised for playing down the extent of the Aids crisis, questioning the link between HIV and Aids and whether Aids drugs worked.

Whereas Tshabalala-Msimang promoted lemons, garlic and beets as treatments, Hogan had been praised by Aids activists.

Rebecca Hodes, the head of policy communication and research at the Treatment Action Campaign in South Africa, said: "We were impressed by Barbara Hogan because she put an end to state-sponsored Aids denialism.

"One of the first things she said was that HIV causes Aids."

The campaign group declined to condemn the change of personnel. but Hodes said: "We are pleased that Barbara Hogan is still in the cabinet.

"When she spoke out about the Dalai Lama and had to apologise, we thought that was outrageous. The new minister is a medical doctor and he's got a lot of work to do. Much will depend on who he has working with him.

--Footprints Filmworks Champion Cars Advert--

"Jacob Zuma has to try to prove he is serious about tackling HIV. He is going to have to make up for past errors and grossly mistaken statements.

When he made that remark about taking a shower, it was held up as proof of his idiocy around the world."

In other changes, Zuma moved the respected finance minister, Trevor Manuel, to a new and powerful central planning post.

He replaced him with Pravin Gordhan who had a successful tenure in the tax department.

Blade Nzimande, a firebrand Zuma ally and the head of the South African Communist party, was named the minister of higher education and training.

The presence of communists and trade unionists in senior positions has raised the prospect of a shift to the left, worrying some investors.

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, the popular former wife of Nelson Mandela, did not get a cabinet position.

LOS ANGELES – Police investigating Michael Jackson's death looked into his medical treatment Friday, seeking to interview one of the pop king's doctors and seizing a car that they said may contain drugs or other evidence.

As medical examiners began an autopsy on Jackson, police towed a BMW from rented home "because it may contain medications or other evidence that may assist the coroner in determining the cause of death," police spokeswoman Karen Rayner said.

She said the car belongs to one of Jackson's doctors whom police wanted to interview. Rayner said she did not know the doctor's identity and stressed the doctor was not under criminal investigation.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

The autopsy began Friday morning and was expected to last several hours. An official determination on cause of death was not expected for weeks or longer, until more sophisticated tests are completed.

In a 911 call released by fire officials, a caller reports Jackson was on a bed and not breathing or responding to CPR. The unidentified caller said Jackson was with his personal doctor at the time.

"I need an ambulance as soon as possible, sir," the caller said urgently but politely. "We have a gentleman here that needs help and he's not breathing yet. He's not breathing and we need to — we're trying to pump him, but he's not, he's not."

The pop star died later Thursday afternoon at UCLA Medical Center.

As stores reported they were inundated with orders for Jackson's music, a chorus of grief for the megastar spread around the world, from statesmen to icons of music to legions of heartbroken fans.

"I can't stop crying. This is too sudden and shocking," said Diana Ross, who helped launch Jackson's career. "I am unable to imagine this. My heart is hurting."

--FF News Advert--

Lisa Marie Presley, briefly married to the pop icon in the mid-1990s, said he had confided to her 14 years ago that he worried about facing the same tragic fate as her father, Elvis Presley, who died of a drug overdose at age 42.

"The world is in shock but somehow he knew exactly how his fate would be played out some day more than anyone else knew, and he was right," she wrote in a long, emotional statement on her MySpace page online.

The White House also weighed in for the first time, with a spokesman saying President Barack Obama saw Jackson as a spectacular performer and music icon whose life nonetheless had sad and tragic aspects. The House of Representatives observed a moment of silence.

Brian Oxman, a former Jackson attorney and a family friend, said Friday he had been concerned about Jackson's use of painkillers and had warned the singer's family about possible abuse.

"I said one day, we're going to have this experience. And when Anna Nicole Smith passed away, I said we cannot have this kind of thing with Michael Jackson," Oxman said on NBC's "Today" show. "The result was, I warned everyone, and lo and behold, here we are. I don't know what caused his death. But I feared this day, and here we are."

Oxman claimed Jackson had prescription drugs at his disposal to help with pain suffered when he broke his leg after he fell off a stage and for broken vertebrae in his back.

After Jackson was acquitted on child molestation charges in 2005, prosecutors argued against returning to Jackson items including syringes, the drug Demerol and prescriptions for various drugs, mainly antibiotics, in different people's names.

WASHINGTON: As the unemployment rate climbs, President Barack Obama is trying to make the case that his health care overall would create jobs by making small business startups more affordable.

Dismissive Republicans blamed the continuing job losses on Democratic policies and said the president's health proposals won't help.

In his weekly radio and Internet video address, Obama linked one of his biggest challenges - joblessness - with passage of far-reaching changes to the US health care system.

If aspiring entrepreneurs believe they can stay insured while switching jobs, Obama said, they will start new businesses and hire workers.

The unemployment rate rose to 9.8 percent in September, the highest since June 1983, as employers cut far more jobs than expected. The government reported Friday that the economy lost a net total of 263,000 jobs last month, from a downwardly revised 201,000 in August. All told, 15.1 million people are now out of work, the Labor Department said, and 7.2 million jobs have been eliminated since the recession began in December 2007.

Obama said he has met people ``who've got a good idea and the expertise and determination to build it into a thriving business. But many can't take that leap because they can't afford to lose the health insurance they have at their current job.''

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

Small businesses create many of the nation's jobs, Obama said, and some have the potential to become big companies.

Obama praised the Senate Finance Committee for crafting a health care bill that includes many of his priorities. Small businesses could buy health insurance through an exchange, he said, ``where they can compare the price, quality and services of a wide variety of plans.''

The government would subsidize health insurance for many businesses and individuals, the president said.

The most far-reaching overhaul in decades aims to protect millions who have unreliable insurance coverage or none at all in the only major industrialized country without universal health care.

Obama acknowledged that a health care bill is far from final passage in the Democratic-controlled Congress.

The bill will be merged with another version and sent to the full Senate, where scores of amendments might be offered and Republicans could mount efforts to use legislative maneuvers to block a final vote. The House is advancing a more liberal bill that includes a public option, or government-run insurance plan, to compete with private health insurers. The Senate Finance Committee rejected that idea.

--Mr. President Omar Abdulla Advert--

Obama said ``reforming our health insurance system will be a critical step in rebuilding our economy so that our entrepreneurs can pursue the American dream again and our small businesses can grow and expand and create new jobs again.''

This is a F O U R Page FF News brief bulletin so the footprints team suggests that you be nice and relaxed when viewing this bulletin. This is an Exclusive Interview with Arabian President Mr. Hosni Mohammed Mubarak.

Mr. Hosni Mubarak is President of Egypt since 1981 and like previous presidents interviewed on footprints has always stood with his country, his people, his fellow international leaders and his family. Mr. Mubarak is the leader of Egypt's ruling Party the National Democratic Party. Mr. Mubarak has been elected President of Egypt four times and has been serving the community of Egypt for more than thirty years. Mr. Mubarak has succeeded his former rival President Mohammed Anwar El-Sadat since 1981 due to Sadat being assassinated by Islamic fundamentalists thought to be with links to Egypt's rival political party The Muslim Brotherhood. Mr. Mubarak currently resides in Africa's busiest city, Cairo, with a population of just under eight million.
The country of Egypt is approximately the size of South Africa with a population of over fifty million Arabians.

The founding myths of Egypt stretch across 5000 years from ancient myths of Pharaohs, Mummy's, Pyramids and African Art.

Although Egypt has long survived as one of the wealthiest African Countries, the country is plagued by international terrorists, money hungry sultans, Egyptian warlords and it is thought to be one of the illuminati hubs in the world.

Many community leaders and Egyptians wrote to the footprints team expressing their interest in our newly formed business and ethics. Many complained to us that the interview with Barack Obama was slap dash and that we should interview him again due to the overwhelming response. When the footprints team visited the footprints second wonder of the world which is Egypt we were surprised Mr. Barack Hussein Obama was also in Egypt delivering speeches in Cairo, Alexandria, The Nile Delta and the The Valley of the Kings.

FF News: The Presidential Box-Page 2
In the month of May the community of Egypt celebrates tourists from all walks of life including business leaders, financial gurus, community citizens and media personalities all in a bid for the annual "Billion Dollar Roundtable"
Just like how The Mighty Nile nourishes the soils for the Egyptians to nourish their crops, The Billion Dollar Roundtable invented in 1992 by various world organizations including The United Nations, The World Health Organization, The World Aids Foundation and The World Wildlife Association, The Billion Dollar Roundtable aims at restoring peace, humanity. civil rights and human rights.

The Billion Dollar Roundtable held this year in Egypt attracted more than 50 000 tourists all in a bid to promote the strength of their countries. Organizers of this years event were left in a ho ha with more than fifty percent of the people attending choosing to express their views via their translators. Among the people who were invited included Warren Buffet, Mark Shuttleworth, Patricia De Lille, Omar Abdulla, Hosni Mubarak, Barack Obama, FW De Klerk and Aishwarya Rai. Guests were asked to be patient for the media as the weekend was set to be one of the biggest in Africa.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

Although, The Billion Dollar Roundtable is a meeting held in the second month of every May, this year there were special "Bollywood Superstars" attending as well, to create a lighter note, through the gathering. The "Bollywood Superstars" including Shar Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Big B, and Lara Dutta provided the foreign guests with music and dance that took the toll off the world economic crisis away, just for a moment.

Whilst Egypt has been known to be one of the wealthiest countries in Africa, in recent times the country faces problems of increased challenges of viruses, deadly weapons of mass destruction, oil ship dumping's and in a recent broadcast on BBC Osama bin Laden delivered a videotape that his next target is Egypt to run his notorious Al Queda Network.

Egypt has long been known as one of the most beautiful countries in Africa from mountain dew tops to giant pyramids providing tourists with an opportunity to mingle with society, explore life on a grander picture, sit on a camel and enjoying famous Nile river boat rides.
Whlist I was visiting the community of Cairo during the first day of the three day billion dollar roundtable I felt i n s p i r e d to meet new tourists, take a few lessons from the holy quraan, learn what was the meaning of pharaohs and OH YEAH I bumped into an Arabian who taught me how to do dancing.
On the first day, which was the Friday, the guests were treated to a five course meal and desserts. Mr. Barack Obama and Warren Buffet discussed that although the United States is in deficient of more than 787 billion dollars, stimulus packages and promises were still being kept by key officials in the military. It has been said that military spending and medical spending by the government should drop by 20 percent by 2015.

Mr Warren Buffet who is rated the richest man in the World according to FF News May 2009 was a bit grumpy with Obama as he felt that Barack Obama should stop spending time overseas and actually look at the United States from within its own border states.

Saturday Morning- I was awaken by the "City of Minarets" calls from Allah. The Azaan which is a prayer calling to muslims to perform their prayers, called out the name of Allah to perform their prayers. I felt excited that this weekend was once in a lifetime.

As the Billion Dollar Roundatable weekend had just started guests from abroad came into Egypt to express their views and opinions as well. In one of the debates held Mr. FW De Klerk said that he would expect the rand to be R5 to one to the United States Dollar by 2015. He also elaborated to other African countries for rand strength and rand as the basic currency in Africa. Mr. FW De Klerk who also chatted to other guests including Omar Abdulla and Mark Shuttleworth, emphasized the importance of exports from South Africa to Egypt with interests in mining, oil exploration, hydro dynamics and solar power.

Mr. Mark Shuttleworth was one of the first South Africans to travel into space and managers The Mark Shuttleworth Foundation. Mr. Omar Abdulla is Managing Director for The Footprints Filmworks Foundation and billion dollar Angel Investor.
During the luncheon, I was spoiled by roast chicken, Arabian curries, pasta and cocktails. I felt inspired to walk up to Mr. Shar Rukh Khan, as I am one of his craziest fans. I was too shy to even say hello, but I figured he should be performing in one of the intervals that follow.

--Todays Times Advert--

That Saturday afternoon around The Billion Dollar Roundtable was a bit boring as "old leaders" had their say on stage, which made me a bit drowsy to catch a nap. What I do remember from the afternoon was the mention of old Egyptian leaders including Ahmed Urabi, Mohammed Ali, Gamal Nasser, and Golda Meir.

Saturday Evening in Egypt in like a night in New York or Paris. The community never sleeps. That Saturday evening I figured I rather stay indoors and watch local television in my hotel. I am sorry to say, but I think Egypt has one of the worst media in the world. I would think that a muslim community would have something decent on, but it seems the great news is probably back in South Africa.

FF News: The Presidential Box-Page 4

That Sunday was probably one of the busiest days in my life as I pushed and pressed through Cairo's noisy traffic to get to the AL AZAR HOTEL in Cairo, where the Billion Dollar Roundtable meeting was being held. I was told that 9:am sharp was the time the discussions would be on. In the lobby, of the hotel, I noticed Mr. Mubarak freshening up in the Men's Room, I figured this is one president I would love to get to know better.

Mr. Mubarak is quite an elderly man who walks slowly and breathes heavily. He was wearing a traditional Arabian dress and smelt like he needed some rose water to freshen up. It was only 8:00 so I figured I do have one hour to chat to him before we go back into our meetings.

Mr. Mubarak and I had Egyptian tea and discussed issues not of Egyptian culture, but of South African culture. I remember, he said, don't ask me questions, Ill ask the questions.

Mr. Hosni Mubarak has perhaps lost his strength and force when he first become president. What he whispered to me about the oil price reaching $20 per barrel by 2015, perhaps changed by opinion of how Arabians think. He laughed and joked with me telling me secrets about the Arabian community that perhaps were too limited for my thinking.

So, It was 9.am and as the third and final day of The Billion Dollar Roundtable it was time for European and Asian leaders to voice their thoughts. Current Managing Director of Coca Co cola Mr. Muktar Kent expressed great concern in the increasing prices of water in Asian Markets and European Unions. He said that WATER as one of the fundamental agents of civilization should be restored and well protected. He added that we would need to borrow water from the Saudi Wells and Egyptian Dams if the purifying of water does not become a priority amongst nations.

--Footprints Chrome Advert--

Across the spectrum of Managing Directors attending the meeting, Mr. Omar Abdulla of Footprints Filmworks elaborated the importance of entrepreneurs who strive to be the best in the fields.

"If every entrepreneur were to put their hearts and passions into leading their businesses with awesome customer service, constant rebranding and distribution, investing into new projects of under $500,000.00 and reinvestment into old business, the economies of world markets would reclaim stability. The current stock exchanges are way too volatile to trade when markets are constantly changing. As my father says, Invest in yourself, that way you empower others around you." Abdulla concluded.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

Jackson who chatted to
guests claimed that his more than one billion supporters had stabbed him in the back and that they created this hoax to sabotage his relationship with his family and personal friends. Jackson who said that the two promotional companies mentioned were not keeping up to their initial word of 100 000 people per concert and that fans were too busy in their own lives and that fans should bid for personal concerts.
Jackson who was initial

ly paid ten million dollars per concert when he first started out reached audiences of more than 250 000 at one stage. Although Jackson has performed for more than 5000 concerts in his career of more than forty years in recent times his success lies with his family he says.

Other members of the crew including Shar Rukh Khan and Barack Obama smiled and joked with Jackson claiming that even "Houdini" himself couldn't pull off a gig like this.

--Todays Times Advert--

--www.footprintsfilmworks.com Advert--

I think the UN means well--I was hoping they'd say something about the recent BBC report on calling terrorists terrorists. But journalists don't like to be told what to do by a big bureaucratic organization that is itself not very open to the media. I wish the UN would lead by example, every once in a while, but the organization can't even define terrorism as the article notes. Oh well. --Wendy

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

U.N. code would limit journalist reports on terrorists
By Betsy Pisik
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Published May 12, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEW YORK -- The United Nations is proposing a voluntary code of ethics for journalists that would ban interviews with terrorists and discourage press and broadcast reports that generate sympathy for terrorist causes.
The code would be part of a U.N. global strategy against terrorism, which member nations began debating in the General Assembly yesterday.
Secretary-General Kofi Annan earlier circulated a 32-page report outlining proposals to be covered in closed-door sessions.

--FF News Advert--

The report breaks ground in emphasizing the role that the "media" can play in curtailing terrorism by "countering the hypernationalistic and xenophobic messages that glorify mass murder and martyrdom."
It suggests that interviews with terrorists be banned and scrutiny be given to Web sites used by terrorist organizations that recruit, raise funds and sympathize with their views.
"These recommendations stem from a fundamental conviction which we all share: that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, committed by whomever, wherever and for whatever purposes, is unacceptable and can never be justified," Mr. Annan said.
Some journalist groups said that they were uncomfortable with the United Nations becoming a global monitor of press behavior, and several nations expressed similar reservations during yesterday's session.
The Brussels-based Independent Federation of Journalists wrote a letter to Mr. Annan warning that the effort "could open the door to interference in the work of media."
Canada's delegation said, "We agree that the prohibition of incitement must not be misused to limit freedom of expression."

--Mr. President Omar Abdulla Advert--

Other recommendations to fight terrorism include:
•Swift and comprehensive planning against biological weapons, which soon will be widely available in labs around the world.
•Sharing information, intelligence and ideas among states, and seeking the assistance of two dozen U.N. agencies.
Of the two dozen nations that had representatives speak at yesterday's meetings, most seemed to agree with the need to draft a comprehensive counterterrorism strategy.
Alejandro Wolff, deputy U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, stressed the central role of the U.N. Security Council in counterterrorism efforts, but noted there is a role for specialized U.N. agencies in areas such as education.
He also pointed out that divisive issues should be avoided.
"A U.N. [General Assembly] strategy, therefore, should steer clear of well-known politically charged issues on which there is no agreement in this body, such as the definitions of terrorism or the so-called 'root causes' of terrorism."
Pakistan criticized the report, saying it "shies away" from addressing the causes of terrorism, such as poverty and discrimination.

The General Assembly debate is to continue next week.
The report does not attempt to define terrorism, an issue that has divided Muslim and Western nations.

Footprints Filmworks April 2009-Presidential Box Page 1-FF News: Bulletin Boards-The Presidential Box The Nelson Mandela Legacy by www.footprintsfilmworks.com

This is a F O U R page FF News Brief Bulletin so the footprints team suggests that you be nice and relaxed when viewing this bulletin. This is an Exclusive Interview with the Statue of South African History Mr. Nelson R Mandela. At ninety years old, with a legacy of leadership, inspiration, admiration and political prowess Nelson Mandela stands as one of the World's Greatest Leaders according to voters on Today's Times Magazine.

--Mr. President Omar Abdulla Advert--

As one of the oldest living world leaders, Mandela says that eating a good breakfast, rising at 6.am, playing with his grandchildren and meeting with new political leaders as some of the hobbies that he enjoys these days. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born in a village near Umtata in the Transkei on 18 July 1918. His father was the principal councilor to the Acting Paramount Chief of Thembuland. After his fathers death, the young Mandela became the Paramount Chiefs ward to be groomed to assume High Office. He was later influenced by colleagues in prison to study law, politics, defense and aviation.

During the whole of the fifties, Mandela was the victim of various forms of repression. He was banned, suspended, arrested and imprisoned. For much of the latter half of the decade he was one of the accused in the mammoth treason trial and great cost to his legal practice and his political work. After the Sharpeville Massacre in 1960, the ANC was outlawed, and Mandela still on trial was banned.

The Long Walk To Freedom an epic autobiography written by Nelson Mandela himself, describes The Struggles, The Challenges, The Apartheid Times and The Fight for freedom for the ANC. Together with Oliver Tambo, Nelson Mandela's story tells of tales he went through and the lessons he learnt behind bars. Jailed for 27 years in five different prisons, Nelson Mandela speaks to Omar Abdulla from Footprints Filmworks regarding his perceptions, viewpoints, leadership qualities and ideas about the future of South Africa.

During his years in Prison, Nelson Mandela's reputation grew steadily. He was widely accepted as the nations most popular Bantu leader and became a potent symbol of resistance as the anti-apartheid movement gathered strength. He consistently refused to compromise his values, his ethics, his morals and his dreams in order to realize his dreams of a countryman. Released from Prison on 11 February 1990, Mandela plunged wholeheartedly into his life's work, striving to attain the goals he and others had set out almost F O U R decades earlier.

--Footprints Chrome Advert--

In 1991, at the first National Conference of the ANC held inside South Africa after being banned for decades, Nelson Mandela was elected President of the ANC while his lifelong friend and colleague Oliver Tambo, became the organizations National Chairperson. Nelson Mandela was elected as President of South Africa on May 10 1994. The fourth democratic elections in South Africa held on 22 April 2009 was a relative success with the ANC clinching just below the 66.6% majority of seats in Parliament. Mr. Jacob Zuma who is scheduled to be inaugurated on 9 May 2009 as President of South Africa should be having sleepless nights in anticipation of the sharing of seats in the National Assembly. Although Nelson Mandela has been used a "cheerleader" for the ANC in recent rallies, his involvement with the ANC has dropped since leaving office in 1998. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Footprints Filmworks Foundation-www.footprintsfilmworks.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------- Page 2-FF News: Bulletin Board

The Presidential Box

Since his retirement from politics in 1998, Nelson Mandela has built many avenues with his legacy including The Nelson Mandela Foundation, The Nelson Mandela Bridge, The Nelson Mandela Rhodes Foundation and The Nelson Mandela Statue. To many South Africans and world leaders the name Nelson Mandela reflects a man of strength, courage, persistence and loyalty to his people, his family, his friends and his fellow countrymen.

In a recent television broadcast on SABC commentator Joanne Johnson argued that Nelson Mandela, "Perhaps the most generally admired figure of our age, falls short of the giants of the past. Mandela himself argues that "I was not a messiah, but an ordinary man who had become a leader because of extraordinary circumstances.

"Clearly, a changing world demands redefinition of old concepts."

With over fifty honorary degrees from fifty different universities around the world including Oxford, Wits, Yale and The Footprints Filmworks Foundation, Nelson Mandela accepts gratitude to South Africans for the work and effort he has put into our country.

South Africa would probably be overshadowed by other African countries if we did not have the support and strength of Nelson Mandela and the ANC. Nicknamed, "Madiba","Champion", "The Ubuntu of South Africa", and "The President of South Africa", Madiba's legacy speaks for itself. According to media reports in South Africa many political and community leaders identify Nelson Mandela as a MAN of peace, ambition, love and a great teacher.

Mandla Mandela, Nelson Mandela's grandson who introduced the footprints team to Nelson Mandela told us that Nelson Mandela has been cooked up in his Houghton home reflecting the challenges of the ANC and the South African Elections. Although the Footprints Filmworks crew were not allowed to be in the room whilst I interviewed Nelson Mandela, the message remained the same. Mandla Mandela, confessed to the footprints team that Madiba no longer gives Exclusive Interviews since his retirement.

With due persistence and several telephone calls our dream of meeting "The Ubuntu of South Africa" came to a reality. Unfortunately, this interview was not recorded on camera, as the camera lights affect Madiba on stage.

Q1) Omar Abdulla: Good evening Mr. Mandela, it's an honor to meet with you. Thank you for this interview. I am greatly inspired by the work you do for South Africans. Briefly describe your upbringing in the community of South Africa? Nelson Mandela: During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to the struggle of the African people. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against Black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal that I hope to achieve .

But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die. I was raised as a tribal leader under my fathers footprints and chief posts. The notorious Rivonia Trial of 1964 perhaps changed my life.

Q2) Omar Abdulla: Whilst you were Prison, what were your challenges, and what trials and tribulations did you go through.? Nelson Mandela: Initially, I was tortured and battered by the fierce apartheid regime. The white government were taking control of The Republic from all corners. At that time, the Africans were the underdogs and no opportunities were available for us. I remember, Walter Sisulu, Ahmed Kathrada, Mac Maharaj and the late Oliver Tambo were close colleagues of mine who stood against the white government.

Policemen would come into our shacks and huts and arrest us for no reason. The reason We were arrested was for Treason, Sabotage against the current government, failure to abide by the country's laws and many other little wars including the Rivonia Trial. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Footprints Filmworks Foundation-www.footprintsfilmworks.com-------------...-------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 3-FF News: Bulletin Boards-The Presidential Box Q3) Omar Abdulla: How did joining the African National Congress change your life? Nelson Mandela: I joined the ANC in 1944 when we had a mere 60 members. The African National Congress message has changed over time I am sorry to say, we have lost some sought of our history over time. When we campaigned in those days, we did not have these fancy slogans and television media to market the ANC. We went door to door to win voters support.

--FF News Advert--

When we were getting too strong for the ruling party, that's when the banning process came in, and that's when I was sentenced to prison. The current elections in April, the African National Congress spent 22 million rand in one month just to win voters support. Q4) Omar Abdulla: What sought of encouragement and love did Winnie Mandela give you whilst you were in Prison? Nelson Mandela: I have six children and over twenty grandchildren with Winnie Mandela. Winnie was always supportive with me when I was in prison but she did not have a clue as to what I went through. She is the mother of my children and she grew them up when I was not around.

As for our relationship, it was always about money and comparisons. She always compared me to other people which I did not like. Our constant struggles probably drove us apart. Whilst in prison she would visit me once per week to my colleagues amusement. When we got divorced in 1996, she created a nationwide campaign against the African National Congress and my people, chanting stories that I myself never heard. I am currently married to Graca Michelle for ten years, of which I am very happy. Q5) Omar Abdulla: Our current South African government has grown steadily at above 20% since 1994, yet certain leaders complain and cannot grow our country in certain avenues including health, tax, finance and labor.

--The Prince of her Dreams Advert--

What is your opinion on growth in South Africa for the future.? Nelson Mandela: The current topic amongst world leaders is change. As Nelson Mandela, I have always put my country first, if every South African were to do that, than perhaps we should see some change. Many South Africans are involved in their own lives, their own belief systems, their own ideas about the future and their own philosophies.

What we need to do now, is bring our energies together to create an effect. Remember, when you combine all energies, all matter, all time and all space, you would see the grander picture of life.

Q6) Omar Abdulla: What is your relationship with FW De Klerk, Jacob Zuma, Thabo Mbeki and Kgalema Motlanthe's? Nelson Mandela: Remember, a President is not a President if he does not have the support of his people. I have always showed my support for all the Presidents of South Africa. Thabo Mbeki in my opinion was aloof with the community of South Africa as he was always abroad and more interested in foreign aid and foreign relationships which I totally disagree with.

I am not that familiar with Kgalema Motlante so I have no comment on him. FW De Klerk and I go back a long way, but our relationship has soured over several disputes recently. Jacob Zuma is a powerhouse champion who I feel would lead South Africa from the front. Jacob Zuma would probably be one of South Africa's best Presidents. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Footprints Filmworks Foundation-www.footprintsfilmworks.com---- Page 4-FF News: Bulletin Boards-Advert--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- Footprints Filmworks Champion Cars At a time when the array of high-end cars is nearly limitless, selecting just one can be a confusing proposition. Union Buildings

Like an ancient temple adorning over the city it governs, the Union Buldings are a modern day acropolis, built at the highest point of South Africa's capital city, Pretoria, it forms the official seat of South Africa's government and houses The Presidency as well as the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Designed by Sir Herbert Baker in 1908, building began in 1909 and was completed in 1913. It took approximately 1265 artisans, workmen and labourers almost three years to construct, using 14 million bricks for the interior office walls, half a million cubic feet of freestone, 74 000 cubic yards of concrete, 40 000 bags of cement and 20 000 cubic feet of granite.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

The buildings represent a decedent layer of South Africa'a history. Originally built to house the entire Public Service for the Union of South Africa, it was then the largest building in the country and possible the largest building work undertaken in the Southern Hemisphere at that time.

Several other sites were considered, including Muckleneuk Ridge, on the opposite side of the city and Pretorius Square, in the centre of Pretoria, where the City Hall now stands. However, Herbert Baker was strongly in favour of Meintjeskop, which was within a mile of the centre of Pretoria and reminded him strongly of some of the acropolises of Greece and Asia Minor, where he had studied Mediterranean architecture.

The concept of an acropolis and a building that agreed with renowned British Architect Sir Christopher Wren's theory that a public building should be a national ornament which establishes a nation, draws people and commerce and makes people love there country easily persuaded the then powers that be, who were at the time, preoccupied with the ideal of establishing a new and united nation.

The British high commissioner at the time, Lord Selborne, remarked, "People will come from all over the world to wonder at the beauty of the site and to admire the forethought and courage of the men who selected it".

The design of the buildings was largely determined by the nature of the site. Baker envisaged identical wings of rectangular office blocks, each representing one of the two official languages. They were to be linked by a semicircular wing, and the space in-between the two wings was levelled to form an amphitheatre as in the Greek fashion for gatherings of national and ceremonial importance.

--Mr. President Omar Abdulla Advert--

Baker wanted the buildings to be built of imported granite, but any idea of using anything but South African stone for the most important government building of the new state was unthinkable to those who commissioned it, as a result, the terraces and retaining walls in the grounds are built predominantly of mountain stone quarried on site, the foundation of the building is of granite, while freestone was used for the exterior walls, the amphitheatre and major courtyards.

For the overall design of the building, Baker chose the neo-classic architecture of the Italian Renaissance, and also combined an idiom of the English Renaissance, as well as significant elements of Cape Dutch detail, such as in the carved main doorways and fanlights and in much of the wrought-iron brass work and balustrades of the smaller areas.

In 1994 the buildings were the scene of much jubilation as they played host to the inauguration of former President Nelson Mandela, South Africa's first democratically elected President, and heralded the beginning of a new era in South Africa's history.

This is an E I G H T page FF News Brief Bulletin so footprints team suggests that you be nice and relaxed when viewing this bulletin. This is an Exclusive Interview with South Africa's golden president and Nobel Peace Prize winner Mr F W De Klerk.

South Africa

South Africans like to think they know the land they live on. The country's founding myths are built upon stories of of P W Botha, Paul Kruger, Nelson Mandela and Cecil John Rhodes.

South Africa-The country occupies the Southern Tip of Africa and is bounded by South West Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland and by the Atlantic and Indian Oceans- West and East. South Africa entirely surrounds Lesotho and partially surrounds the F O U R black states of Transkei, Boputhatswana, Venda and Ciskei. (before their independance)

The country's history stretches 100 000 years and was ruled by the British from 1815-1948. Since, South Africa's independence from the British in 1948 the ruling party-The National Party ruled the country up until 1994 where F W De Klerk declared "Freedom to the Nation."

As the build up towards the country's elections on 22 April 2009 draws closer many parties are creating a ho ha in an effort to win voters support. Current President of South Africa Kgalema Motlanthe announced on February 10th that the fourth democratic elections should be "Free and Fair." Although Motlanthe's Presidency is expected to be short-lived his appointment as President from 25 September 2008 is due to end with the end of the elections in April.

The Footprints Filmworks Foundation is association with Today's Times Magazine have launched a full scale effort to promote the country's elections both locally and internationally.

"South Africa probably requires R700 billion rand to jumpstart the economy in terms of Financial Banking, Military Forces, Medical Sciences and The South Africa Reinvestment Act" says Group Economist for Citigroup Shaun Kells.

Kells(35) elaborates that the community of South Africa requires to take global lessons from world bankers including Alan Greenspan, Warren Buffet, Ben Bernanke and South Africa's own Tito Mbweni.

Billboards, stickers, websites, television studios, radio broadcasting, bulk messaging, exclusive interviews, and various creative methods are currently being used in a bid to promote the country's elections as well as the parties leaders.

Mrs Patricia De Lille Founder and President of the Independent Democrats speaks about "The eight step manifesto" which is a guideline her party follows.

Before going to press the footprints team researched the Political Parties of South Africa scheduled to partake in the fourth democratic election and found out that sixteen parties had enrolled on the IEC memorandum. According to the South African National Assembly, The African National Congress had 293 seats, The Democratic Alliance 47 seats, The Inkatha Freedom party 23 seats and The Freedom Front 4 seats.

The National Assembly has 400 members representing 16 political parties. The number of seats that a party has in the Assembly is in proportion to the number of voters that voted for it in the elections. For example, if a party won 40% of the vote, it will have 40% of the seats. The balance of power in the House can, however, be influenced by floor crossing. Floor crossing happens twice in a five-year term of the Assembly. During the floor-crossing period, a member will not lose his or her seat if he or she joins another party or starts his or her own party, subject to certain conditions. Parties may also decide to merge or subdivide in this period.

C H A N T I N G members of The African National Congress, The Democratic Alliance, The Inkatha Freedom Party, and The Freedom Front(Vryheidsfront Plus) take to the streets in a voice of "A better South Africa, A South Africa of Change"

One chanter told a footprints member " South Africa has more than 9600 communities, yet can our community of South Africa respect the needs, the values, the empowerment and the leadership of One President?"

According to sources The Presidency is linked with a consortium of institutional thinking brains, media personalities, financial gurus and key "Community leaders."

.....................................The Holiday of your Dreams......................................

Enjoy the epic of your wildest dreams by touring with class, elegance, serenity and perpetual bliss. Discover the world in today's times from ancient myths our forefathers have taught us.

Footprints Filmworks Travel Tours in Association with British Airways and South African Airways have launched the e i g h t wonders of the world package for your pleasure, enjoyment, thrills and desires. Discover the new world from our ancient myths for only R500.000-00 per person. Eight Months, Eight Countries, Eight Wonders.

1) Taj Mahal is regarded as one of the eight wonders of the world, and some Western historians have noted that its architectural beauty has never been surpassed. The Taj is the most beautiful monument built by the Mughals, the Muslim rulers of India. Taj Mahal is built entirely of white marble. Its stunning architectural beauty is beyond adequate description, particularly at dawn and sunset. The Taj seems to glow in the light of the full moon. On a foggy morning, the visitors experience the Taj as if suspended when viewed from across the Jamuna river

2) The Great Pyramid at Giza is an awesome sight, thirty times larger than the Empire State Building(in mass), the Pyramid's features are so large they can be seen from the Moon. The oldest structure in existence, having been started 4,617 years ago, it is the sole remnant of the eight Wonders of the World.

The Great Pyramid did not always look as "rough" as it does today. Originally it was encased with a layer of tight-fitting, highly polished 20-ton stone slabs. W.M. Flinders Petrie determined the exact dimensions of the sides of the Pyramids and he found that they were almost exactly the same length to a accuracy of 0.1 +/- inch.

3) The Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the World. The local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya" --the smoke that thunders and the Falls are remarkable.

The Victoria Falls is 1708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. It drops between 90m and 107m into the Zambezi Gorge and an average of 550 000 cubic meters of water plummet over the edge every minute. The Victoria Falls makes the footprints Third wonder of the world.

4) Leaning Tower of Pisa is a bell tower at Pisa, Italy. It is famous for leaning 141/2 feet (4.4 meters) out of line when measured from the seventh story. It tilts because its foundation was built on unstable soil (it's a well known fact that Pisa architects aren't so bright). Construction of the tower began in 1173 and ended between 1360 and 1370 (which means it's been around even longer than dad). The ground beneath the tower first started to sink after the first three stories were built.

In 1990, the tower was closed for repairs. At that time, its lean had been increasing an average of 1/20 of an inch (1.3 millimeters) per year. Engineers hope to stabilize the tower's foundation and straighten it slightly to prevent it from eventually collapsing and falling over (and yes, it is indeed open for tourists!). By 1994, their efforts had straightened the tower's lean about 2/5 of an inch (1 centimeter). No date for the reopening of the tower was scheduled.

5) The Eiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. The Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII of England, opened the tower. Of the 700 proposals submitted in a design competition, Gustave Eiffel's was unanimously chosen

At 300 metres (320.75m including antenna), and 7000 tons, it was the world's tallest building until 1930. The Eiffel Tower is the footprints team's fifth wonder of the world.

6) Located on a 12 acre island, the Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886, designated as a National Monument in 1924 and restored for her centennial on July 4, 1986.

7) Mecca is the most holy city in Islam. The city is revered from being the first place created on earth, as well as the place where Ibrahim together with his son Isma'il, built the Ka'ba. The Ka'ba, the centre of Islam, is a rectangular building made of bricks. Around the Ka'ba is the great mosque, al-Haram, and around the mosque, in between the mountains, are the houses that make up Mecca.

8) Completed in 1913, Pretoria's Union Building are one of the most recognized buildings in South Africa. The Union Building itself is not open to the public, as it houses the offices of the President of South Africa. But the building's impressive architecture and beautiful surrounding gardens are well worth the visit.

The Union Building is made of sandstone and is 275 m long. The two wings at either end were intended to represent the bilingual nature of the country, and symbolized the unity that these two cultures had achieved since the Anglo Boer War.

F W De Klerk who lead South Africa as President from 1989-1994 chats to Omar Abdulla from Footprints Filmworks regarding his ideas about the future of South Africa

kid cartoon game, youtube, map sensor enhancer

Frederik Willem de Klerk was born in Johannesburg on March 18, 1936. He is the son of Senator Jan de Klerk, a leading politician, who became minister in the South African government. His brother Willem is a liberal newspaperman and one of the founders of the Democratic Party.

F.W. de Klerk graduated with a law degree from Potchefstroom University in 1958 and then practiced law in Vereeniging in the Transvaal. In 1969, he married Marike Willemse, with whom he has two sons and a daughter. De Klerk was offered a professorship of administrative law at Potchefstroom in 1972 but he declined the post because he had been elected to Parliament as National Party member for Vereeniging at the time.

Omar Abdulla from Footprints Filmworks was the first Indo-Asian in South Africa to produce a local documentary on a community called Laudium-Footprints In Laudium. Omar Abdulla together with the footprints team are currently producing Footprints In South Africa which is a feature length film comprising of leaders and community folks from the community of South Africa. Footprints In South Africa is due for release in 2009 with an expected audience of over 50 million.

Omar Abdulla: Thank you for joining us on Footprints In South Africa, Welcome to our Presidential Box.

F W De Klerk: Thank You for having me.

Q1) Omar Abdulla: What is your opinion in the in which South Africa is lead?

F W De Klerk: I always seem to get into trouble when I'm asked about our country, yet I truly believe South Africa has a long way to go in terms of our democracy. Our democracy is a mere fifteen years old-hence we should take baby steps towards the empowerment of our community. In my opinion the new brats on the block like Jacob Zuma, Lekota, De Lille, and Farouk Essop have still some growing up to do.

Q2) Omar Abdulla: You mentioned "The new brats on the block" what's your opinion on new president elect-Barack Obama?

F W De Klerk: Barack Obama is a "speech contest winner." I have no idea what knowledge he has on The United States or if he has the sufficient "Leadership Qualities." Personally, I think Barack Obama should of been elected as the next President of the United States and given Joe Biden the opportunity to uphold the flag.

Q3) Omar Abdulla: From the days you were President of South Africa to Today's Times, where do you think their is scope for growth in our community?

F W De Klerk: Our society of South Africa WILL ALWAYS have challenges that we will come across. It's imperative that we keep to our roots, our foundations, our history and our visions for the future. My vision would be to live to the day I see South Africa crime and corruption free. It is unfortunate that today's politics is riddled with sharks who dress in suites.

Q4) Omar Abdulla: If you were to compare The South African Law amongst other major countries what would your opinion be?

F W De Klerk: If you have a glance at the South African constitution it is rated one of the best in the world. Myself, and other colleagues helped assemble it in 1993. The South African constitution makes provision for freedom amongst all nationalities and all colors of our rainbow nation. Perhaps we should take a few straws out of the hats of the Arabian community as well.

Q5) Omar Abdulla: On a L I G H T E R note, briefly elaborate about your personal life these days?

F W De Klerk: Well, I am 72 years old, I have been President of South Africa, I have a good home and awesome family. The way I spend my days is by shopping at Pick and Pay, playing golf with a few mates of mine, taking long walks, and watching the News @ 7 on SABC 3.

Q6) Omar Abdulla: Thank you for that, in my opinion I think our sports in South Africa requires that special "Ernie Els" touch don't you think?

F W De Klerk: I have always been a supporter of s p o r t s in South Africa. I believe we still have a long way to go in terms of competition. Take Bafana Bafana as an example-I think they should improve their game tremendously and include more "whites" in their national team. I also believe the Protea's will give the Aussies a run for their money when they tour our country in March. I also would like to suggest that more women should get involved in sport.

Q7) Omar Abdulla: Looking at the housing market in South Africa, prices have been volatile over the past decade, where do you see housing prices by 2015?

F W De Klerk: South Africa has provided for more than 4.3 million housing subsidies' in the past ten years. The big F O U R banks should probably tighten their belts when it comes to financing. Skyscraper buildings, bridges, highways and the development of the Gautrain would sustain South Africa's growth and hopefully reduce the high volume of traffic on our roads.

Q8) Omar Abdulla: Whilst you were President of South Africa from 1989-1994, what were your greatest challenges?

F W De Klerk: I took each day on merit, worked hard and kept to my parties promises. I was never a dictator, I simply lead from the front. The citizens of our community will always complain when it comes to leadership and how we manage our country. It's important to keep track of our goals, re plan and act again. Remember, even though you might be The President of a country, it's still a job.

At a time when the array of high-end cars is nearly limitless, selecting just one can be a confusing proposition. The good news: Every year a few models stand apart. Q9) Omar Abdulla: If you look at South Africa from an International perspective what would your opinion be?

F W De Klerk: Internationally, South Africa is a drop in the ocean. The World Cup in 2010 would probably add a bit of media exposure to the country. I also believe our country should host International events like The G8 Summit meetings, The Olympics, The Oscar Awards, and who knows we build our own racing track for Formulae 1 racing.

Q10) Omar Abdulla: Perhaps our country's leaders are in the dark when it comes to the future of our nation, what would your critical statement be on our Political leaders currently?

F W De Klerk: I have no comment on that question.

Q11) Omar Abdulla: Traditionally, our country is third world- What advice would you give to up and coming community leaders?

F W De Klerk: Our country has a vast basket of leaders, managers, skilled labor and "ordinary citizens". What the business community has to do now, is venture in areas of business that can create employment and provide a good bracket for income for households.

Q12) Omar Abdulla: Talking about employment, our community of South Africa has an unemployment rate of over 30 percent, what would you say is the recipe to bring this down?

F W De Klerk: When I was the President the unemployment rate was above 50%, so I think we should give credit where credit is due. The current government has grown steadily at above 20% since 1994, so I think we should give them the "Thumps Up."

Q13) Omar Abdulla: In conclusion I would like to ask you who inspires you to go out there and make a positive difference to our community?

F W De Klerk: I believe that we are all community leaders at heart. Community leaders are those everyday citizens who wake up in the morning, go to work with a vision to earn an income for their family and yet remain in the group of South Africa. I suppose the leader who pushes the hardest even in times of sorrow would be the leader who rises above the rest.

Thank you.

Fellow South Africans,

I have no doubt that you are aware of the announcement made yesterday by the National Executive Committee of the ANC with regard to the position of the President of the Republic.

Accordingly, I would like to take this opportunity to inform the nation that today I handed a letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Honourable Baleka Mbete, to tender my resignation from the high position of President of the Republic of South Africa, effective from the day that will be determined by the National Assembly.

I have been a loyal member of the African National Congress for 52 years. I remain a member of the ANC and therefore respect its decisions. It is for this reason that I have taken the decision to resign as President of the Republic, following the decision of the National Executive Committee of the ANC.

--Footprints Filmworks Advert--

I would like sincerely to thank the nation and the ANC for having given me the opportunity to serve in public office during the last 14 years as the Deputy President and President of South Africa.

This service has at all times been based on the vision, the principles and values that have guided the ANC as it prosecuted a difficult and dangerous struggle in the decades before the attainment of our freedom in 1994.

Among other things, the vision, principles and values of the ANC teach the cadres of this movement life-long lessons that inform us that wherever we are and whatever we do we should ensure that our actions contribute to the attainment of a free and just society, the upliftment of all our people, and the development of a South Africa that belongs to all who live in it.

This is the vision of a South Africa that is democratic, non-racial, non-sexist and prosperous; a country in which all the people enjoy a better life.

Indeed the work we have done in pursuit of the vision and principles of our liberation movement has at all times been based on the age-old values of Ubuntu, of selflessness, sacrifice and service in a manner that ensures that the interests of the people take precedence over our desires as individuals.

--Mr. President Omar Abdulla Advert--

I truly believe that the governments in which I have been privileged to serve have acted and worked in the true spirit of these important values.

Based on the values of Ubuntu, the significance of which we learnt at the feet of such giants of our struggle as Chief Albert Luthuli, OR Tambo, Nelson Mandela and others, we as government, embarked, from 1994, on policies and programmes directed at pulling the people of South Africa out of the morass of poverty and ensuring that we build a stable, developed and prosperous country.

Accordingly, among many things we did, we transformed our economy, resulting in the longest sustained period of economic growth in the history of our country; we introduced an indigent policy that reaches large numbers of those in need; we made the necessary advances so as to bring about a developmental state, the better to respond to the many and varied challenges of the transformation of our country.

This is, of course not the occasion to record the achievements of government. An additional critical few are however worth mentioning. They include our achievements with regard to many of the Millennium Development Goals, the empowerment of women, the decision to allow us to host the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup and our election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council two years ago.

Despite the economic advances we have made, I would be the first to say that even as we ensured consistent economic growth, the fruits of these positive results are still to be fully and equitably shared among our people, hence the abject poverty we still find coexisting side by side with extraordinary opulence.

Importantly, we had an obligation to ensure that democracy becomes the permanent feature of our lives and that all our citizens respect the rule of law and human rights. This is one of the cornerstones of our democracy, which we have consistently striven to protect and never to compromise.

We have also worked continuously to combat the twin challenges of crime and corruption, to ensure that all our people live in conditions of safety and security. We must admit that we are still faced with many challenges in this regard.

Work will therefore have to continue to strengthen and improve the functioning of our criminal justice system, to provide the necessary resources for this purpose, to activate the masses of our people to join the fight against crime and corruption, and to achieve new victories in the struggle for moral regeneration.

--FF News Advert--

With regard to the latter, our successive governments from 1994 to date have worked consistently to encourage the entrenchment in our country of a value system whose observance would make all of us Proudly South African, a value system informed by the precept of Ubuntu – umuntu ngumuntu ngabanye. Among other things this means that we must all act in a manner that respects the dignity of every human being.

We have sought to advance this vision precisely because we understood that we would fail in the struggle to achieve the national and social cohesion that our country needs, as well as the national unity we require to enable us to act together to address the major challenges we face.

Fellow South Africans,

Since the attainment of our freedom in 1994, we have acted consistently to respect and defend the independence of the judiciary. For this reason our successive governments have honoured all judicial decisions, including those that went against the Executive. This did not mean that the Executive did not at times have strong views which we would have publicly pronounced upon. The central approach we adopted has always been to defend the judiciary rather than act in a manner that would have had a negative impact on its work.

Indeed, on the infrequent instances when we have publicly expressed views contrary to those of the judiciary, we have done so mindful of the need to protect its integrity.

Consistent with this practice, I would like to restate the position of Cabinet on the inferences made by the Honourable Judge Chris Nicholson that the President and Cabinet have interfered in the work the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). Again I would like to state this categorically that we have never done this, and therefore never compromised the right of the National Prosecuting Authority to decide whom it wished to prosecute or not to prosecute.

This applies equally to the painful matter relating to the court proceedings against the President of the ANC, Comrade Jacob Zuma.

More generally, I would like to assure the nation that our successive governments since 1994 have never acted in any manner intended wilfully to violate the Constitution and the law. We have always sought to respect the solemn Oath of Office each one of us made in front of the Chief Justice and other judges, and have always been conscious of the fact that the legal order that governs our country was achieved through the sacrifices made by countless numbers of our people, which included death.

In this context it is most unfortunate that gratuitous suggestions have been made seeking to impugn the integrity of those of us who have been privileged to serve in our country’s National Executive.

Compatriots,

Again, as you know, we have often pointed to the fact that our liberation movement has always been pan-African in its outlook and therefore that we have an obligation to contribute to the renaissance of the African continent.

All of us are aware of the huge and daunting challenges that face our continent. In the short years since our freedom, as South Africans we have done what we could to make our humble contribution to the regeneration of our continent.

We have devoted time and resources to the task of achieving the Renaissance of Africa because this is what has informed generations of our liberators, even before the ANC was formed in 1912. We have done this fully understanding that our country shares a common destiny with the rest of our Continent.

--FF News Advert--

I therefore thank the many dedicated compatriots – men and women – who have made it possible for us to contribute to the resolution of conflicts and the strengthening of democracy in a number of countries including the Kingdom of Lesotho, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Comoros, Zimbabwe, Sudan and elsewhere. We have also done this work conscious of our responsibilities as a State Member of both SADC and the African Union.

I would like to thank my colleagues, the many Heads of State and Government on the African continent whose abiding vision is that Africa must be free; that all our countries, individually and collectively should become democratic, developed and prosperous, and that Africa must unite. These African patriots know as I do that Africa and Africans will not and must not be the wretched of the earth in perpetuity.

Similarly we have worked to contribute to the achievement of the aspirations of the countries and peoples of the South, conscious of the need for us to act in solidarity and in unity with the billions with whom we share the common challenge to defeat poverty and underdevelopment.

Accordingly, I depart the Office of President of South Africa knowing that this country has many men and women who have dedicated their lives to ensure that South Africa, Africa and the countries of the South will, in time, manage to ensure a better world for all of humanity.

I depart this Office conscious that the sterling work done by the Presidency, the Ministries and departments, the provinces and local government structures will continue, driven by the determination to achieve the goal of a better life for all.

--Footprints Chrome Advert--

I am convinced that the incoming administration will better the work done during the past 14-and-half years so that poverty, underdevelopment, unemployment, illiteracy, challenges of health, crime and corruption will cease to define the lives of many of our people.

I have received many messages from South Africans, from all walks of life, through e-mails, telephonically and through cell phone text messages as well as those conveyed through my colleagues. I thank all of you, fellow South Africans, for these messages.

To everyone, and responding to these messages, I would like to say that gloom and despondency have never defeated adversity. Trying times need courage and resilience. Our strength as a people is not tested during the best of times. As we said before, we should never become despondent because the weather is bad nor should we turn triumphalist because the sun shines.

For South Africa to succeed there is more work to be done and I trust that we will continue to strive to act in unity to accelerate the advance towards the achievement of our shared national goals.

In this regard, it may be worth repeating what I said during the inauguration of the President of the Republic in 1999. Using the metaphor of the Comrades Marathon, I said then that:

“Those who complete the course will do so only because they do not, as fatigue sets in, convince themselves that the road ahead is still too long, the inclines too steep, the loneliness impossible to bear and the prize itself of doubtful value.”

Once more, I thank you most sincerely for affording me the opportunity to serve you and to serve the people of Africa.

Thank you,

Ngiyathokoza,

Ke ya Lebogang,

Ndo livhuwa,

Ndiyabulela,

Baie dankie,

Ok, we all heard today the shocking speech of the President of Russian Vladimir Putin, that shocked the whole world including USA in the first place...

He attacked its policy in Iraq, in the gulf region, and in the middle east in general... the american secretary of defense Robert Gates replied to the russian president :"one cold war was enough" ( he actually was talking about the World War II )...

--FF News Advert--

Anyway, the questions are :

*What do you think of the new opinions of Russia towards the arab world, Iran ?
*What do you except from the future relationships between the arab world and Russia specially after the first visit of a russian president to KSA ?
